You can place actors, choose their clothings, pick one of the 23 sets, set time and weather, choose a filter.
Characters are placed in scene with various animations, you can set their emotions, choose their voice, voice emotion and write what you want them to say and they will say it.
You can pick background music but its just reading files in the games folder, so you can put your own stuff there. (and you can replace the character voices)
There is a clothing/costume available for each major theme.
So there is plenty of things already there, but we are still in early access. We are working mostly on the tycoon part of the game, but the movie stuff is also in development and coming up later.
Check out our public roadmap here:
https://portal.productboard.com/moviestycoon/1-movies-tycoon
We've already implemented all sorts of custom camera movements and better integration of custom movies in the tycoon game. However most movie editor improvements will be released at once at the end of september. (There are lots of movies bundled with the game and it would waste a lot of work to keep updating them for each new improvement, so we'll do it once)
Some notable things that are coming up for the late september update:
- movie editor tutorial and UI improvements
- picking more locations to film in on each set
- more clothes / costumes and predefined sets
- Improving the generated voices from the player input
So there is a bunch of things already there and bunch more coming up. It's up to you if you'd like to support us now in early acces when not everything is 100% done yet while the rest of the features are in development.
Thank you very much for the comprehensive answers. That sounds very promising. I will probably buy the game at the end of the month.
