How do you upgrade a building.

I am definitely missing something since my buildings do not upgrade past lvl 2. I noticed that I am fully researched but no upgrade available. I am at LVL 3 producer at the moment.

Do you have to complete each lvl as a filmaker to get the option to upgrade?

You made it further than I did. I know getting everything researched(and bought?) for the building unlocked the next level, but I never made it halfway through 1975 before restarting. Been playing a lot of different games the last couple weeks.

Would assume like you said, there is a film maker level to reach as well as researching(and buying?) the updates for the buildings, if there is a next level.

Hi, if you are playing the campaign than the progression is tied to the producer levels. Gaining levels there unlocks further building levels. The sandbox mode doesn't have the producer levels and the game progression is unlocked.

In my game, in the Sandbox Mode the Film Equipment Depot Building and the Post Production Office only go to Level 1. In the Creative Mode all levels are unlocked. I don't know if it is this way for everyone.

Film Equipment Depot and Post Production Offices contain researched technologies. Once fully researched and equipped in their respective areas, the next level is unlocked. This is because the higher level buildings contain the previous technologies so to avoid nullifying these game mechanics in sandbox, you still have to research stuff.

Guess we should add some overview about all progression in general and what are the requirements where people can see and track all of this.

Thank you, that makes sense. Can you tell me how to unlock the Genres in Sandbox, because they don't unlock in the Creative Workshop. Many of the Themes don't unlock either. Thanks.

I got a chance to upgrade the buildings, however I noticed that you have to build that building if it lvl 2 etc.

To me this doesn't make sense since you no longer need the lower level building . I tore down the lower level buildings but this is costing me money . There has to be a better way am I missing something?

I think a better way of wording my above question about Sandbox Mode is: All but two genres are locked in the Screenwriter's Office. How do you unlock them?
