So what would it take for me to actually buy the game?
- character management
- much more movie management within the scenes - more interaction in creating the movie
- something different than "The Movies" game, I mean I've already played that i don't want a clone.
Ok you want feedback, set graphics not much updated for the movie game ones, hope films look better and have plenty of new ideas not copying old ones.
We could do with a really good film making game, we have waited long enough, hope that this is the one because others trying to emulate THE MOVIES game have been cr*p .
We will be continually improving the onboarding - adding more visual cues and explaining things better etc. We've been working with this for over a year so we know every little detail but it's really important to gather this fresh perspective on things, thank your for that.
As or gameplay mechanics, the demo only has the basics and all the other stuff is either turned off or happening in th background. We'll be showcasing more indepth gameplay with the next demo for the Steam Next Fest in June .. and obviously in the full game.
In the Audition phase, there is a board in the room with information about the person, it tells you which role they are good at.
The full movie editor is also coming for the later demo/full release. In the meantime, you can check out our youtube channel to see the first actual movie made in game. Or you can shoot and cast the movie yourself in the demo.
Thanks for your reply, good to know your on the case.
I do understand that the game is in the early stages but it is good to impress as early as possible to build up momentum, interest and anticipation.
I only give feedback as I see it because we want this game to be best as possible, as do you.
Will look forward to your next demo and complete game in the near future.
Good luck
Auditions board, can't see the highlighted color which describe which job they're best suited for (is purple the correct one?).
Hiring crew, can't work that out with the token and the tutorial just leaves you hanging there, no back button to see if your doing the instructions correctly.
So far no movie to place on you tube sorry
I like the idea, but the game needs a lot of work! Some comments:
1.The movement of the characters is very slow and the animation is often not natural.
2.They can't find the right way, they get stuck against the walls of buildings.
3.The construction is too slow.
4.The workers - except the builders - are wandering around the area without any purpose.
5. The player has almost no influence on the filming, missing the point of the game!
I like the graphics (characters and scenery especially), but there's still a lot of polishing to be done, in my opinion.

1. Is there going to be a training feature? I see in the game on the sets where you can "Train" your actors/directors, but when I do this, they stand there, bars moves, little green icon comes up, and.....nothing. No progress in skills.
2. When I pick up an actor and drop him directly on set, sometimes they start "sliding" off until they hit the end of the property. No interaction is available to stop it, they just slide.
In order for them to write the script you have to put a blank script in the set up box below it and choose a genre, theme, and type of movie it is. Then name it. Only then will the screenwriters move to write it after dropping it in the writing box.
