Dialogue choices and lying to the player
I got to say, played the demo for a bit, love the writing and atmosphere so far, but please please please, can you make it so that the Dialogue options actually show exactly what you're about to say?

The trend of showing only a short version of what the character is about to say, only for the character to say something completely different from what the text would imply is ruining modern RPGs.

Couldn't agree more. I have genuinely lost count of the number of times I've had to reload a save in many games now because I chose a dialogue option that seemed to fit my character, then watched in horror as my character does and says things wildly different from the choice I selected.

I am of two minds, while i agree it can be rather jarring if the dialog that follows a choice is not what i was expecting. On the other hand, having the player only speak what can be selected is also not great, as it limits how the dialog can flow. I imagine that this would make the writing harder and possibly more stiff.

yah its annoying, u think something is x and it turns into y - I honestly think it be kinda cool if company's start incorporating voice activation into there game, ou make your own char and you hear other person talking to you or you read text and then you just talk natural back to them with current AI chat generation systems coming out You think that in time AI could act as a Dungeon Master and it could learn meanings of words and respond back to player with in game boundaries and lingo that is used for that world setting and then conversations could vary based on how AI would persevere the NPC response back would be along with how game unfolds story wise. AI generation has come along ways and quickly so You think in time this be more than passable in terms of being able to be done.

I mean if AI is able to generate chat and commutation as telephone marketers now and text chat, and act as shrinks for people to talk to along with, programming games and game development You think it be way easier for AI system to run a game as a dungeon master with in game setting specs. anyways you think that be future move for Role playing video games, what ever company in corporate an AI that can monitor and run a game system with in there game engine would probably make a killing in game engine leases.

it open up game world to open base natural speak where you could type or talk to the NPC in real time, instead of picking A B or C options anyways you think that be next gen gaming.

You would think that a lot of game company be interested in that ability as for written really all game developers have to do is create flow charts that AI can use to guide it self and more what if or else style are with in flow charts more free and open world the game would feel.

I know NVIDIA is working on something like that for there AI

https://www.creativebloq.com/news/nvidia-ai-game-character

they have video of NPC talking to real players inside of world settings that they setup using AI style Dungeon Master system that controls all of the AI chars and they use in game speech voice activated from player but no reason for people who cant speak couldn't use text chat.

I think it could be taken step further with AI control the game flow with flow charts along with in game generation for content with in game to add side missions so forth and how game plays out.

as stated I think this should be a key consideration as to what is consider next gen gaming.
