Hell, Ubisoft, despite its recent slew of utter failures like SW Outlaws, Skull and Bones, XDefiant, and upcoming AC Shadows (that nobody asked for, peeps wanted an AC game set in Japan, with a Japanese MC, no race swapping or cultural appropriation). Just too many crap still cooking, pardon the vernacular, for things to change in the immediate future and up to perhaps 3-5 years down the road.....just my opinion.
Best chance we have at getting more is if it comes from china/korea at this point. Japan seems to be going down as well lately.
I'm not a dead or alive fan so I didn't know that but yeah even if there are exceptions the majority of studios won't make games like these
Exceptions will be only indi developers as they are actually interested in the development of the art "video gaming" and not just franchise management.
I was a little disappointed with the censorship. Sony should be the last company to publish such game. In the other hand, that may help with the abolishment of such ridiculous regulations, now that they now that sexy sells. And to be honest, I don't know how it's even legal. If a game conforms to PEGI or ESRB, with some of them with 12 or T rating, what gives Sony the right to ban them.
You really think companies don't know that "sexy sells?"

Have you ever play Splatterhouse (2010)? It have everything what you ask for. I really wish this game release on steam. Sadly it's only release on Xbox 360 and PS3.
We won't be here, if companies really knew that. Look at Sony and its censorship policies, look at all the ugly female characters shoved in every game. Yes everyone knows that sex, or beauty in general, sells. But what's the point of that knowledge, if every company is acting as if it's not the case.
Most AAA gaming companies definitely don't, especially if they have american ties
They'll pull out the ugliest they/them they can find and expect everyone to be excited lmao
