Can anyone give me a logical reason why

this game is $45, while Shadows of the Damned remaster is only $25, despite both being remasters of games from the same time period, AND by the same studio?? I'm really failing to see the logic in why lollipop chainsaw remaster is almost twice the price.

Because this game is better. Shadow of the damned is just one giant di*k joke all game. It gets old.

Probably it was more work to remaster it?
Probably they thought more people will pay more money for Juliet?
Probably different Publisher with different targets (don't even know Shadows of the Damned and i don't want to check now ;-)

they had to change a lotta songs, its basically 2 games in one, he had to buy the license for the game from kadokawa, think they added costumes n i think they plan to add more.

with Lollipop, they actually put some work into it remastering. personally I prefer the old aesthetic but it's still remastered nonetheless and it supports a high refresh rate.

Shadow of the damned is literally a straight port. there are no noticeable graphic/texture upgrades from the console. it just renders in high resolution and runs at 60fps on PC which is much better than a console which was 720P/30fps but I wouldn't call this a remaster.

It is a good remaster.
Well optimized and its developers listen to their fans all the time.
for me it's worth the full price.

Asking myself the same question Shadows of the Damned still has the original style and music in it + added features like new game plus and skins for 25 bucks meanwhile with RePop wich cost 45 we dont even get a proper remake just a remaster with the style and og music gone.

LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW RePOP is a remaster, it has resolution options and 2 modes, quality and performance.
Although it came out with some problems, right now it is excellent and please! the OST issue we all know it already.
The full price is justified.
but Shadows of the Damned is a port, the NG+ is fine but please! it looks horrible in 4k.
I have the 2 games and Lolipop I bought it at full price because it's worth it and Shadows of the Damned, well! I only bought it because I'm a fan of the game, but as a port it's bad.
PS: Shadows of the Damned has the original OST because well, its OST is original and the funny thing is that I want to buy it but they don't have it for sale.

Well glad to hear the price is justified for you but as I said the remake made it look worse with the loss of its original style and the lighting was horrible since I played it at the launch. If you want to listen to the original OST you can just rip it from the game like no need to pay extra 10 bucks or something just to listen to it through steam.

I think we both have just different views what remasters should be, for me its just a simple port with enhanced resolution and fps and maybe something extra because style never gets old/bad and that for a good price.

What more do you want from a remaster then better resolution, fps and it works from the get go with extra goodies and all that for a good price? XD

You describe a port.
From a Remaster I expect at least 4k and improved textures.
But!
Look! I have the 2 games on PS3.
I do not understand the criticism to the new look of the game.
I don't know, both look amazing and I like the improvements of RePop.
obviously my PS3 can't play in 4k, but looking at the 2 games ...
SOD looks better on PC, but when you see the textures all blurred out it almost looks like I'm emulating it.

Im asking this question myself OP. Why peole letting themselves to be fooled. Never understood this mentality. This is not 45 priced game. But blind loyalists with pink sunglases buys anything these days whit this price. It should have been 30 tops. Look at shadow of the damned price. Reasonable.
