XD
This was from when I joined the server briefly to see if there was any signs of life or news to this game. I'd say they took the money and ran and took a couple of 'yes men' with them. Hanging around the forums hoping for some new info seems pointless at this point. Guess it's time to move on and accept that this game is dead.
Grats devs, your sob-story video about how you needed my money worked. /s
Okay, so I've talked to the devs on the Discord. Here's the summary of what they told me:
- The development is still ongoing albeit really slowly. And I mean really, glacially slowly. They've their hands full with real life stuff, for example
- The old game is considered done and let go, they're working on the F2P version of it
- They put in 2 new characters. I'm not sure how they play but they looked really cool from what I've seen watching the stream VODs
- Yes, they play the game sometimes on their Twitch channel. Once a week or once a month? I'm not sure now
- They've a Discord where people can chat with fellow players, ask the devs things (if they're free), and get the alpha version of the game they're currently working on. NOTE: You can only join this alpha if you own the game already. You need to join through the Discord. You can find more info about the process there
- The devs only want to share info that's 100% set in stone and they want to temper expectations. That's why they've been this silent. They felt like there was nothing worthy of sharing. They're working on it. Consider it a case of "when it's done" if you were on the fence about this game like I'd been. Now that I know that I'm just going to chill till they announce something. No ETA on anything
- They haven't been active on Steam because they hadn't seen much activity themselves
That's the gist of it. I hope I could shed some light on why things are the way they are and what we can expect.
