Endless Staircase
Can anyone tell me how to get past the endless staircase? I tried running up, down, backwards, focused on the ground, tried interacting with the 3 lights but I can't seem to get out of there.

Start turning. Keep turning till the noise revs up and changes, then you can escape. But this is just a trap, you just get to go back outside.

Okay, still didn't manage to get out but thanks for telling me that it's a trap. Found the right way to proceed.

If I'm thinking of the same area, I got out by standing next to the door. The thumping noise will eventually speed up and the door will open. I was running up and down in there for probably 10 minutes before I figured it out.

I also did not find anything to do in there. A good old trap. That made me smile. Not enough of those in games.

I just reloaded the last saved game and chose another path :)

The noise you hear is made by the player stopping or jumping. It has nothing to do with getting out of there as it's completely controlled by you. I didn't try the turning, though. I just loaded my last save.
It thoroughly puzzled me. I must've spent at least an hour reloading and retrying different approaches. No regrets. :D

Did you actually TRY standing in one place and turning? Just stand stil and push down the left or right arrow key.

While the noise is caused by you stopping, it is also the key to figuring out how to escape the staircase. If you're near a door in the endless stairwell, it will open once the thumping noise acclerates enough.

Edit: I don't think turning is necessary, I just kinda stood there.

You don't have to turn. Just stop moving anywhere and wait. The door will eventually open.

I tabbed out to come here; went back in and boom here... I went up a LONG time thinking...there's gotta be something neat at the end of this thing haha... I found the slo-mo room that makes you slow down so now I'm looking for stuff like that.

I tried the turning. It may not be necessary and you may just have to stand still but it works. First playthrough I spent about 10 minutes running nonstop up and down figuring I'd get somehwere. I ended up just reloading my checkpoint.

This time the game crashed for some reason and then I came here to figure out how to get out.

I simply walked up the stair case patiently and eventually reached the room at the bottom of the stairs but coming up through the floor. Anyone else have this experience?
Dude, how long did you walk? Half an hour? ^^
