Virus?
So I just got this game and I went to start up Age of Wushu and when I press play the launcher goes away and a message pops up saying "SteamAPI_Inut() failed!" and when I press okay another message pops up saying all this random coding and then my Malwarebytes detects virus with the file name as "Age of Wushu\bin\GPK\itt.dll Backdoor.Agent.HTMGen" I've already tried Varifying my Cache and Repairing the Launcher but nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions?

Maybe its trying to tweak some stuff in your OS and malwarebytes detects it as a virus

Add your steam directory to the AV exclusion list.

I just updated my Malwarebytes to the most recent update, I am not detecting anything. To make certain though, I disabled Malwarebytes and ran Microsoft Security Essentials and still got no hits. :vaultkey::crate:

Greetings! GPK is our Game Protection Kit. Essentially Age of Wushu's anti hack measure. Please allow for the GPK to communicate with our servers otherwise Age of Wushu will not be able to run on your PC.

Disable MSE, don't use two AV programs.

I already said I disabled one, I have never had two av's enabled at the same time, they would never work right if I did. :tank:

Uninstall it then/
Kodyd194 Mar 28, 2014 @ 3:45pm
uninstall what :skbomb:? I have them both because I dont have realtime protection with Malwarebytes only a manual scanner, MSE is activated because I use it for realtime protection, Malware bytes and MAR are not active, they have to be opened and launched to start a scan or for virus/ rootkit removal. here are some links http://www.malwarebytes.org/antirootkit/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/free/ http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download.
