Fistful of Frags
Do you ever think about adding a Mauser C96, a Colt M1900, or maybe even the Borchardt C93?
In some way, I guess the volcanic pistol fills their role, but I think having a more powerful, faster firing pistol with a capacity comparable to the volcanic would be an interesting red or gold unlock. Just my opinion

The Mauser C96 was in the Great Silence, though I honestly can't think of any westerns with the M1900 or the Borchardt. Obviously none of these guns would have been too common in the West during their respective time periods, but that's why they would be gold crate items. Also many, if not most, sphagetti westerns definitley take place after the civil war. There's even quite a few sphagetti westerns set in the Mexican Revolution in 1910 (e.g. Bullet for the General, A Profesional Gun, The Five Man Army). Like you said, the game at least takes place during the 1890's so there certainly could be Mauser or a Borchadt. At least Red Dead Redemption features both the Mauser C96 and the Colt 1911, though I really wish there was a PC port cause I would buy it in a heartbeat.
If I'm not mistaken the date for FoF is no later than 1895.

Evidence is the Pump Shotgun (Not smokeless) being the latest weapon, which was 1983. And Pianola's being invented in 1895 or so.

I don't see why the Borchardt C93 couldn't be added in timewise. But at the looks of things Mauser missed the time period by a year, and Colt M1900 missed it by 5 years. Not to mention the slew of automatic revolvers that came out in the early 1900's, I just don't think it has a proper place.

Perhaps Mauser could be added but I'm a bit iffy.
I would probably prefer the Mauser or the Borchadt since they definitley show their age a lot more (i.e. at a glance the M1900 doesn't seem that different from modern semi-autos).

I think this would be a good idea, but maybe add jamming of some sort. Revolvers are more reliable than automatics, and this may help balance the two.
