Built a beast of a computer from the ground up for about the same price that will destroy any console... you pc guys don't like gett'n beat by someone who plays with a controller huh ;)

See the new steam feature? I can use the steam home page and access all the features they offer with my controller.. Just like a mainstream console... Awsome idea and in the right direction!!!!!! p.s. been a FPS gamer since the first doom.. controller support is the only reason I came back to PC!!

By using a controller you're putting yourself at such a disadvantage even a total newbie using keyboard and mouse can wreck you easily. Don't be stupid, just learn how to play with a keyboard and mouse like a normal person. It takes just 20 minutes.

Trust me, it takes longer. Any person I know that switched to PC took a far longer time adjusting to the mouse. Of course now they don't want to go back but it took some effort. Let him try. You used Joy2key or xpadder yet?

No, most games I play have support but I'll have to try xpadder or something similar, this game looks fun.. looks like a 3rd party program is the way to get controller support on on older or indie games... Don't get me wrong I can play with a keyboard but I suck and it feels akward... Come find me in CDW and tell me any nube with a keyboard could beat me, Happy Hunting!

I totally agree... playing with a controler on a game that natively uses the keyboard and does not have controller support sucks!!!!! I tried getting pinnacle (what I tried for Fist Full of Frags and a couple other games with no support) and it's horible!!! Percision is not there.. but play a game like TF2 (team fortress2) with developer created controller support and you can rock with a controller.. Dude Im old (34) and my dad was a medical device engineer and the first PC I started playing games on was an apple IIE with a green and black monitor. I owned Wolfenstein 3D!! and Doom for Windows!! (which had no controller support) I switched back to PC about 2 years ago because of controller support.. I am supprised about the ignorance within a super smart comunity... Don't you want to destroy everyone you play against with your System?? Tweak your machine to get the best out of the newest and greatest games available??? If you hate mainstream console gamers don't you want to smash Sony and Xbox (Microsoft is us in an intelegent, marketabale, user friendly format :) )) Why fight the mainstream?? and not own it instead??? I just don't understand the point you try and make... if your the BEST, you are the BEST regardless the competition.. this ignorance is the reason we don't have the game titles and support the pc should have.. Hell I cant even play madden on my PC!! don't you see a Xbox and PS4 are no different than a mainstream POS that is untweakable and runs on low graphic settings to increase "play-ability"??? I always see these arguements, but it's not like I go to a console developer and demand keyboard and mouse support for every single game. The fact that a good amount of game developers give controller support obviously means PC is superior but I digress.

It's fact that using a controller for a FPS is handicapping yourself. Simply by the use of aim assists on non-PC FPS titles, as for why you want to handicap yourself, that's another matter entirely.

Bloodwar you may be better off putting this into the suggestion forums and maybe R_Yell can do something about it. Otherwise as others have already stated using 3rd party programs and if that doesn't work, use a mouse and keyboard like the majority of other people instead of being a rebel without a cause.

good point, I guess it goes both ways... I really have no point to prove or cause, I just like to play.. I actually asked "does this game have controller support?" to this forum and here I am.. actually the first question I have ever asked in the first discussion I have ever commented on since I built my PC.. Im not bashing the old games for not adding controller support, just asking if it is supported.. and now that I see from other groups and discussions on steam that this is a issue all pc gamers like to support... WHY?, I say.. ya its a bit extra work on the developers end but what the BLANK?? Understanding PC's makes me wonder the reason they do not compete with main stream consoles.... but wait PC did... their called Microsoft and they created the XBOX.. DUDE, controllers come from the demand of us/we original PC and NES players!!

Nah no disrespect, it's good you think you can own most of us forum go-er's using a controller while I'm sure the top players all use Keyboard+mouse.

But the fact that Microsoft created xbox does not mean they were competing with consoles, it's a bit redundant because they nearly have a chokehold on PC gaming itself. They just wanted a piece of the action that was/is consoles. They knew people would keep buying PC's anyways, they just didn't want to lose out on sales from the children/young teenagers demographic who's parents will usually buy a console for them and a PC for themselves, extra money and what not. Haha

But yeah I'm sure you could have answered your own question if it was simply: Does this game have controller support? And it would be no. It's unfortunate but the game itself was originally just a mod and done by a very small developer team. The game itself is fantastic and it's unfortunate that it doesn't have controller support to cater to everyone but you're a minority around here, and you can't always have your cake and eat it too.

Ya.. the this game does have some controller support though, I can do everything but look up and down on the controller and thats why I asked... but yes agreed.. Microsoft owns the PC and Console... and yes I seem to be the minority but thats OK because I love awsome graphics on my games like the 4K res on Ryse that Im about to play for the first time :)
