Renaming of BOTs

Can you please disable the renaming of BOTs?

It is stupid because it makes the server look more active than it is, and when people join a "full" server, it is false advertising because it is not full.

Plus server admins are changing the BOT names to racist names. I have proof as well if you desire to see the last one.

Just to be clear, its not a false advertising, bots are set as bots in game etc. Bots time is visible on player infos etc. And bots names are issued from players names.

The game developer is agree with this, we have discuss recently about this.

Your last connection was on our server was on 2020-12-17 17:56:48.

Yes, actually your server is rank #35 and mine is rank #2. Maybe we can see that something is linked here between your complain and a feeling.

As long the bots can be clearly identified (in custom server browser they either won't show or in stock browser they show in a column as bots), bot name is not a big issue for me. However it's a practice I'd not recommend either, specially if names may be racist or offensive

Not sure Rebel if you are aware that he is impersonating other real players. Would you like to see the bots named after you Rebel and then say weird things?

Besides that I believe that the server is still using fake ping players as before and use the rest as BOT players because he is scared of a second server ban.
sadly I was banned from that server for no reason. Well he displayed the reason: "banned for cheating"... wtf. I guess PlayBoy31.fr is concerned/scared that i could proof his fraud. but the timings of the "players" are just too artifically.

long story short: please just perm ban this fraud servers again and everyone is happy.

We are not responsible of players names, maybe you can make a ticket to Steam to make a name filter on their side?

Names are not unique and yes there can be others players named PlayBoy or David or Arthur or Trump ?

Our ping is real, as you can see in servers browser, we have the best ping of all servers ! We have a good connectivity and peering.

Acutally you are responsible. If you rename the bot's then its YOUR responsibility. Don't try to excuse your sloppy implementation and fraught. Blaming it on others doesn't work here. Not Steam or Valve is renaming the Bots. You are. If you rely on real player names, maybe you should open up a ticket at steam?

I'm excited about the answer. However, the behaviour you've shown here in this community doesn't make me believe you. The ping fraud, the racism and also the false accusations against other servers just give me the impression, that you are just not a trustworth admin.

Apologet is right to me, you can't just hide behind the fact it's other player fault to choose such nicks. If you want to conceal your bots I'm going to require random-non offensive names the very least.

And trying to use bots as fake humans again will be a irrevocable ban

Well, it's sad that you, as an admin, obviously don't know much about GDPR and that I had to explain you about your violation. But luckily you removed the IP. Glad that I could help you. When in doubt you can consult me next time before you post such things.
