Stat Foods
Just thought I'd ask which stat foods are ideal to give to which party members. I know stuff like Defense & Health should usually go to Matt, and Accuracy and such should, from what I remember, usually go to Lance, but I just thought I'd ask which distribution would be good. For example, when it comes to Magic Attack & Magic Defense, should I give that to Natalie or Anne? Both eventually end up with some pretty nifty skills, after all.

I would suggest giving all magic att boosts to Natz since she benefits the most from them. Same with att boosts, just hoard them on Matt. The defensive boosts should be spread out evenly but try to give Natz a few more def boosts since she is kinda squishy. Hp and Mp can be given to just about anyone but once again a little more Hp for Natz... Accuracy really doesn't matter so just give them to whoever you want, same with Evasion but remember that evading all attacks might seem good but it will be harder to charge limit breaks if you just dodge everything.

Quick summary
Hp: Evenly but a few more for Natz.
Mp: Whoever you want.
Att: All of them to Matt for super powered cleaver :D
Mag: Everything to Natz, you can even oneshot the final bosses easily with Supernova/Tsunami if high enough magic on her.
Def: Evenly but more to Natz
Mag def: Evenly but more to Matt.
Acc: Really doesn't matter so whoever you want.
Eva: You can do whatever you want but as said above harder to get limits.

Ah thanks :)

Edit: And yeah, super-powerful Cleaver is a beautiful thing to behold.

I put all the evasion food on one character only, because if you spread them out, the boost doesn't really do a whole lot.

I gave Nat all the evasion food and had her wear evasion armor/accessories. It worked really well in normal because she was dodging almost everything, even against the final bosses. But it didn't work so well in new game+ at the highest difficulty, because she could still get one shot.

For everything else just go with what the other post suggested. It's no rocket science and you won't mess up your game even if you do it randomly.

Acc:"recommanded"should go to matt since he has a low accuracy then the rest of the members.
Eva:"recommanded"Nat if you want your healer to stay alive.

Basically, make sure Natz is buffed as heck and blast your enemies to oblivion with sparkly fireballs. Simplicity itself.

No love for Anna :(

I tend to split my ATT boosts between Anna and Matt. Anna benefits greatly from the attack boost, since all her skills are ATT based except Whirlwind. Natz still gets all the MAG boosts. Anna gets the ACC boosts, since her naturally high ACC, with the boosts added, let her hit the more pain in the ass evasive mobs.

I do like Anna, but I can't trade her over for Lance. The Medpack has saved my arse on more than one occassion.

The medpack just heals and removes any existing status problems. Anna's Refresh also blesses the target, preventing status problems from happening in the first place. Natz can purify the party to take care of any existing problems, but a blessing can be a godcatsend if you have an enemy that's constantly hitting a character that's weak to a certain ailment.

It's not really that there's no love for Anna (I tend to use her more than lance most of the time) it's just that for me she's more of a support character and most support skills doesn't require stats and neither does item usage.
The extreme evasion enemies such as the Razor claws and the final enemy in the foe rush on battle mountain does have insane evade on epic difficult so the acc but you can also use the eagle eye bow for it's 100% acc bonus as well. Besides adding acc out evenly always worked for me.

Acc split between Anna [who will then not miss] + Matt [who misses often anyway so needs the boost]
Att - split the same, Anna & Matt
I use Lance as mostly backup, so I give him the bonus Evade as he is usually swapped in after the main party buffs [def, Mdef + eva] are up on the rest.

Anna and Lance have decently powerful starting attacks dedicated to hitting evasive targets: Piercing Shot and Snipe respectively. Matt has Quickslash but it's damage is underwhelming so I always thought to dump more Acc on him so he can spam Legend all day...

The way I figure it, there's not too much of a point in slapping HP and either Def on the same character...the good thing about having a lot of HP and not a lot of Def is that you soak up damage and fill the limit break bar faster. The problem with this is that no matter how much Def of either kind I slap on Natz she keeps getting one-shot to the point where all she ever does is cast revive on herself...so I need to give her /some/ health.

Phys and Mag Attack stats mess with me a lot because I'm obsessed with turning Lance into this crazy damage machine that does both physical and magic damage. Yes yes, I know I should have thrown a lot more on Matt so his Cleaver actually does something, but there's something I just love about the synergy of having Matt use Temper on Lance and then unleashing Unload on either a single hefty enemy or multiple weak ones, both of which is effective. And while he has the phys attack debuff I just use it as an opportunity for Natz to Charm him and let him blast magic attacks instead. It's extra lovely with the Accelerator gun that allows a Hyperbeam blast without charging it up...

Evasion feels like an alternative to either Def...since the best defence is to not get hit at all...now that I think of it I probably should have thrown all of it on Natz instead of a mix of Phys and Mag Def...

Ugh...how do I fix my characters?
Vaskur Mar 3, 2014 @ 12:19am
Nat magi atk and eva food stats, matt magic def phy def hp mp and acc stat< current play style, reason i give most of the def to matt is because he is the tank i give him mp boost because he natrually has the lowest and runs out pretty fast some times, he will still have less mp then the other characters but he will have enough that it nearly measures up to other characters, he also has the lowest magic defence so i toss all them all to him simply because his the tank, since i'm tossing nat my eva food, she will evade most of the attacks.

Oh! Great! So that works then? Ugh, wish I realized it earlier...

That was what I thought when I gave Natz all the evasion food on first through/normal, and I decked her out in full evasion gears so that she had 430 evade at lvl36 when the other two were at 120ish. It worked very well until I got to new game+ on epic. Mobs had higher accuracy and she was frequently ohko by regular mobs.

It also convinced me that it was a good idea to dedicate evasion food to just a single character, if her high evasion stat still needed additional buffs and debuffs to be effective on higher difficulties, spreading the bonus among the characters would only make the overall evasion stat much more worthless.

On the other hand, resist gears are king, and physical defense food should be spread around so that your characters can at least survive a round to get healed.

But if you just want to play on normal, it's pretty much anything goes.
