Problem w/ the Saving System

Right after I got to the store at the "top" of Battle Mountain I hadsaved and left. I started a new game to try to optimize the characters with the best spells/buffs/etc. and then I went to save. Then I ACCIDENTALLY saved over my 30-hour file. I got fairly mad, then I realized I accidentally saved in another slot at 22 hours. So I basically lost 8 hours of gameplay and I have to do ALL of battle mountain all over again. Would it be possible to add an "are you sure" pop-up so I, and other people, don't save over their, what I call, "super files."

There is the auto save file - you could have loaded from that [it saves in each new area or after boss fights, if I recall correctly].
Also, as there are 7/8 save slots, why were you only using one? Eg: I use about 4 slots, and rotate through them each time I save ~ this means if one breaks, I have multiple recent backups ready.
The save files are not large, so there is no reason to only use one. :)

The save files are not large, so there is no reason to only use one. :)

1. I saved over my main file with another, that means the autosave would've been for the file that was playing when I saved over my main one.
2. Yea it would've been a good idea for some backups, but for some reason whenever I do backup, it really messes with my OCD. I don't get it.
3. I get that saves aren't large, why even bring that up?

That's why autosave wouldn't work in my situation. READ THE WHOLE THING.
