I expected changes to the battles in new game cycles, maybe like to actually fight both godcats in their pure holy/dark typings and their high HP pools and sky high evade for more than three to four turns. But oh well.
I guess stat boosters don't matter that much in the main story because you can grind for levels the normal way. But I do not know exactly how much they affect endless battles, because while enemies scale to your level, they are not affected by stat boosters, and they don't cap out on 100% as I first thought they would. (All ham for Matt and all cake for Natz would yield the best results, since the other two have mixed movepools, but for all other stats I suggest balancing it evenly)
Other things to note are that if the problem is being one shot by the boss, kitten fort and genesis should help, just have Natz spam heal more while morale status is still active, and just don't use genesis on the creator, it will do you more harm than good
Level 33, no stat up items, not yet climbed Battle Mountain for equips and things (although skills are pretty much maxed).
Only real problem I have is fighting The Creator and The Destroyer at the same time, as they usually instant kill me before I can reliably use any limit breaks other than Genesis. Like...
They enter, use their entry attacks, Destroyer might kill someone or both if I've buffed up poorly or the previous Godcat wave was particularly nasty in terms of people dying. Preferably everyone's at at least half HP before The Creator uses its first holy nuke, which I can counter with Genesis kinda, but how I typically dealt with each one-on-one was debuffing them to -45% on like, atk/mag atk, -45% accuracy while my guys had 40% or more evade. This was obtained by basically hooking Lance up with Quake Maker (or so I think it's called) and a weakness flair so that he could debuff attack, sometimes debuff accuracy, and inflict weakness so as to drain Godcat's attack stats. My next priority is to make her tired, so the accuracy stays bad.
My main problem is that once I get to the two waves, I can't debuff them fast enough before they instantly wipe out everyone / I run out of good opportunities to buff anyone revive anyone before we get mowed down, since on pretty much any given attack someone is dead unless I'm fortunate after a certain point; let alone with both cats which means at least two or three will die and that's pretty impossible to routinely stack against...
...I originally tried on level 32, but man does that one level make such a difference. I couldn't even get past The Creator on level 32.
Am I just beating my head against a wall, or is this in some way possible? Level 33 / no stat up items that is, on Epic of course.
But honestly do not do that, you're going to need chili for something else if you are going to do battle mountain.
