MAGIX Music Maker 2014

MAGIX Music Maker 2014

EVERYONE READ. I NEED DESPERATE HELP.
I installed Magix Music Maker 2014 on Steam, and everything went just fine as far as I know, and now after the installation setup it claims that "The program could not be started. The installation folder may be damaged.

Reinstalling the program could fix the problem. Please contact support if this error occurs again.

Error code: -59"

I don't know how to fix the issue, and I've tried to but in fear of messing something up, I just came here in hopes of possibly getting a resolve to my issue. Prior to the installation, during the download, I had paused it, and when I continued my internet had a bad connection. It has been rather splotchy since the internet lines are dug up, exposed to the air, and covered up at the moment with a piece of fence. So, I just let it run its course, and the internet went back to normal, and the download finished overnight. After this, I'm unsure of what happened. If anyone has any ideas as to the source of this and what I could do as far as maybe reinstalling Magix Music Maker, that would be great. Any extra things you might need to know, just ask, because I need this fixed as soon as possible. Thanks, whoever can help me.

Error code 59
I just bought MAGIX music maker 2014 on Steam. I installed it, and there were no errors. But when I tried to start the program, a window popped up with the message:

The program could not be started. The installation folder may be damaged.
Reinstalling the program could fix the problem.
Please contact support if this error occurs again.
Error code: -59

I've tried reinstalling it a couple of times, but it's still not working. I tried deleting the .exe and the protein.dll and verified the files, but it is still giving the same error.

Have your Steam-Client and Magix Music Maker executables set to run with Windows Administrator level privilages and see if that works.

Verify the installation; Steam-client, Library, All Software, right-click Magic Music Maker, Properties, Local Files, Verify integrity of application cache.

Good luck.

PS: Did you also try restarting your computer after receiving that error?

Alright, So I realized I was only deleting the Magix folder in my steamapps folder. It also has its own folder in the program files folder.

I deleted everything again and reinstalled. While running steam and Music maker executives with admin level privilages I started it and got the error code-1 (again).

Followed my original steps of deleting the Musicmaker.exe and the Protein.dll, then verifying the integrity of the application cache.

I then restarted my computer and it worked!

Hope that helps!

Strange you had to jump through so many hoops to get it to work, but, at least you finally got it working. Cheers! :)
