MAGIX Music Maker 2014

MAGIX Music Maker 2014

No sound from Midi while using ASIO?
I cant get any sound from any midi track while using any ASIO drivers whether it be ASIO4ALL or The magix low latency... my primary sound card seems to the job just fine, but as soon as i switch over, i see the midi messages goin thru but no audio.

Any help is appreciated as this is kinda a big deal.

thanks for the response, but seriously??? no help ? i mean someone should have an answer especially if this peice of software is on steam! i mean what is it lack of use, knowledge...? anyone whos used a daw before should be able to have figured out something..i mean ive certainly been able to use this with the likes of reaper, cubase and renoise.

Hallo

ASIO driver only helps out with audio material and reduces latency problems, in order to get the midi working it is necessary to select a sinth form the synth pool of the software(something like vita vst for example).

This procedure normally works "naturally", and so in my first answer i didnt came to this topic, but eventually you just forgot to select e midi instrument to play your midi sounds.

Although if you did select e midi synthesizer than there must be a problem somewhere, and such a problem can hardly be solved over a forum like this one ,so i suggest to check first if the midi synth is been selected (eventually try another one instead of the one you selected), and then, if there is no improvment, contact the support.

dude i know how to use a daw..what im saying is when i switch over to asio i dont get any sound from anything. thanks anyways, just thought there were other experienced users like myself on here...certainly expected help from someone higher up but i guess its better to just go straight to magix. Is there any way of getting a non steam key as i can no longer launch the program from my computer btw....

I'm sorry i was not meaning it that way, is just that generally i answer to people that have a very low understandig about how to use a daw and so i just answered with the usual "first step problem solving" answer :)

Please accept my advise and contact the support, you will be helped out of the problem :)

Hit the key p and try WASAPI instead. Asio runs system exklusively. That means, you won`t get sound from other apps. You won`t get sound from ms gs wavetable software synth as well, because it is part of directsound. If you are using an external synth, be sure to have midi and audio connected to your computer. Your soundcard should be configured for line-in usage or stereo mix in the recording section of the cards control panel.
You may want to check asio4all v2.11 as well for the driver. If you want to run more than one app at a time you have to get multi client drivers for your card. You may want to check {LINK REMOVED} .
