MAGIX Music Maker 2014

MAGIX Music Maker 2014

This program sucks.
Thanks for taking it off the store page when I was planning on writing a scathing review of it. I guess I'll just have to vent here.

For starters, there are numerous typos and the program loves to crash. Another thing is even when I manually quit the program, it just loves to automatically restart itself every time. The VST plugin functionality is a joke, and whenever I reinstall this P.O.S. there is always some component missing: A VST, some drum machine, or a file path is messed up. Screw this program.

Update, this stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ program just uninstalled itself. What the ever-loving hell is wrong with this POS?

Constant crashes. Just constant, constant crashing. The Vita VST plugin that COMES WITH THE PROGRAM no longer functions, even when I make a plugin path to the Vita folder. I've tried moving the Vita folder elsewhere on my PC, and nothing works. For some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason, when I change the FOLDER NAME of the Vita folder, suddenly I can open it in program, however all the graphics are gone and the plugin is unusable.

Trying to timestretch clips that are reversed results in a crash. Also, exiting the window via the exit button on the top-right results in a crash and an AUTOMATIC reboot, which is about the most annoying thing ever. Same thing occurs when I CLICK "QUIT" FROM THE "FILE" DROP DOWN MENU. It will crash and AUTOMATICALLY reboot itself.

And the last thing? The coup de gras of this entire feckin ordeal? The program literally just stopped working for me, as I type this.

I've been writing this message as MAGIX has been reinstalling itself, and when it was finished I tried to open it.

"The program could not be started. The installation folder may be damaged. Reinstalling the program could fix the problem. Please contact support if this error occurs again. Error caode -59."

Reinstalled it and the Vita FINALLY started working again. Guess it might have been a patch by Magix team if I'm being idealistic. Props for that, at the very least.
