Trouble shoot: Dialogue stopped working

All of the sudden (i'm quite a ways through the game) the audio of the dialogue stopped working. I tried exiting and restarting, rebooting my PC, testing other games w/audio, resetting my sound/speakers but none of it seems to work. Has anyone else had any of these issues? Any help would be appreciated.
