- Ditch any kind of timed Epic Store exclusivity deals (Everyone hated that)
- optimize the game better (it really doesn't feel like a steam deck should be struggling to run this game). Failing that, put in settings for "Quality" and "Performance" modes. I won't even ask for better graphics or performance (although someone else might) if they do this
- Compile personnel histories and service records for the main characters. The kind of thing a Capitain or first officer might have access to when they evaluate who would be the best choice when making a decision. Make the current hierarchy of the ship and the duties they're responsible clear (In one decision, I definitely would have chosen Bedrosian, but I passed her up b/c her rank was technically lower than the alternatives)
- Loved the ship tour extra, but it feels like there was a missed opportunity to put some director's commentary there. (and how about a holodeck that could load the rest of the locations not located on the ship?)
- I don't know if Diaz/Edsilar should return (vs picking a new POV Lower Decks protagonist), but I would not hate it if Edsilar became the new player avatar in a season 2. Or maybe up the ante and go for 3 protagonists (someone from medical maybe? Let us create hyposprays and wave the lights over things)
- With multiple protagonists having very different experiences, it feels like a multiplayer mode would be a nice addition: playing with a partner with one person taking on the role of Rydek and the other Diaz. Resurgence itself does a decent job of separating each's story segments most of the time as it is, but it would be nice to have an official mode so you don't need to pass controllers back and forth, or even to design it that way from the ground up
- Felt like there was a missed opportunity to be able to flirt with some of the aliens Kirk style. I know I'm not the only one who thought Rydek and Tylas had chemistry (I wouldn't be surprised if someone else felt the same way about Diaz and Itasca either).
The game premise is good, but it could be great if they made it like a proper adventure game and not one full of QTE's and a few token choices.
An episodic version, so it's not just a mainline story but a different dilemma every chapter. As well as a possible main line story.
I loved the lower decks, following the crew which was good.
Rescue Romulans from the borg, befriend them and solve a massive problem together
More attention to detail would be good. It's the little things that set it apart. Thats what was good about the Expanse. Attention to detail would extend the episodes greatly.
Love affairs, and entangled relationships
Ever since I saw this, I have been dreaming about how a story could go. I would love something to do with time travel, or a world pre warp tech that has a massive moral dilemma to deal with.
A grandson or distant relative of one of the more famous people, like Warf becoming a major player.
Bring back Wesley crusher!!
