To keep your mouse in the circle and get the bream to go around full, you can follow a few steps to ensure that the mouse stays within the designated area. This task might be related to a computer game or a physical experiment involving a mouse and a circular track.

There is one particular situation where it loses charge if you uncenter it...and I can't get it to stay in the center. It's so dumb.

I had the same issue. Even tried plugging in and using a new Xbox controller via USB, didn't make it any easier vs keyboard and mouse. This behavior appears blocking.

Same issue, can't progress the story because of this

Same problem with my PS5 controller.
I stopped playing because I have no interest in buying a new controller.

I can't get past it either which is really frustrating because I've been enjoying the game. There at least needs to be a skip if there's not a true fix for it yet.

It's not your controller, this appears to be a semi-global issue. I experienced the same issue using my mouse, and an XBOX controller.

Yes, it's ongoing. This is not just you. It's several people it seems. I don't believe the game was playtested. It seems that some setups experience less input lag/acceleration than others. See this playthrough.

The guy does it super easily but it looks like they aren't dealing with as much input lag.

I was able to fix the problem for myself.
I'm currently using my XBOX Series X controller.
I would also recommend disabling Steam Input and using default settings.
No input lag working perfect.

I wish they would just remove losing the progress in this case, so at least we can fill it in (even if it's very slow) and move on with the story

Tried this, problem did not resolve. I tried disabling Steam Input and using the Official Layout.

I tried disconnecting my mouse from the computer and just using gamepad.

The problem is twofold. There's a resistance value that's way too high for the cursor to overcome. Only throwing the cursor at the center gets the cursor inside the circle, then the cursor turns orange and you start making progress.

When you do that and you do pass through the middle, you get pushed out the other side by the same force. The orange cursor changes back to white if it's moving too fast even if it's inside the circle.

There is also about a full second of input lag with all settings. I even tried turning graphics down to minimum.

Yeah. I'm having similar issues to all stated above. I've loved the game up until that part. Then it's made me absolutely despise the mini game. I was having a great time, then bam. Solid wall. I've even got a fancy gaming mouse where I can adjust my sensitivity on the fly. Tried adjusting it in game. Nothing. It's just so insanely crazy.
