Please add character creation!
I really want to create my own character. I'm not into playing a pre-generated character that someone else made up for me.

While it can be fun spending hours in a character creator some great games include memorable, “pre-generated” player characters including Arthur Morgan, Aloy, Bayek of Siwa, etc.

Pre-generated characters can often allow for a richer, more cinematic story driven game.

This isnt an RPG.

Oh well. Looks like I'll be saving my money from this one.

A penny saved is a penny earned.

It should have been, the game is pretty, but has no value after you beat it.

I'd personally be happy already if there would be some customisation, like being able to change hairstyles, clothing and such. Just something to make the character more your own.

This is not a role-playing game, but more of an adventure game. And you usually have a predefined character.

won't happen. They cannot have you playing a male captain, especially a white male captain. those do not exist anymore.

Star Trek has always been a little bit woke. It's yet to be seen whether this game will have the anti-white mind virus as well, but Star Trek has always had leftist politics as its core. I'm no leftist, but I enjoy Star Trek for what it is, and it was able to share its political message back in the day without being obnoxious, I thought. The modern iterations are trash BECAUSE they go full woke, but I'm willing to give this game the benefit of the doubt.

As far as being able to make your own character, this doesn't look like that kind of game. Small budget, small studio, I can't imagine they would be able to shoehorn a custom character in.

You're saying that as if, any of us should care if you buy the game or not.

Wasn't ToS super woke too, for their time ? It was called back then, feminism. Right of the start, you can see girls in small skimpy outfit. Today might not mean much to us but back then it was a HUGE statement of feminism. Star Trek has always been full woke. Younger of people today dont know about that because those woke issues of the past are not issues today, they'v fully integrated our society and is part of being normal now.

The same as people will treat our modern Star Trek has just normal and not woke at all, since everything woke today will be their normal. (Hopefully not but probably).

A “little bit” woke? Star Trek is the epitome of woke. It’s great. It’s the future. And we love it!🖖

Star Trek was very progressive, but it had a lot of nuance and balance.
I dont want to get bogged down in the whole "woke" debate, but Id associate that term with a crass, "bash you over the head" subtlety, no nuance, holier-than-thou, puritan preachy-ness.
Start Trek in the older days was not like that- it was generally well written and very balanced & thought provoking.
I miss that old Star Trek. It was always about humanity having hope and aspiring to be better.
