Edit: Here's the part of what I've read to even know the full lore of this game. The game is literally $5. O.o
"The Exit 8 is a short walking simulator inspired by Japanese underground passageways, liminal spaces and back rooms."
So you finished a game and then requested a refund? That's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.
It is brilliantly minimalistic because the gameplay is incredibly simple. So simple that it doesn't even need instructions (which a lot of games could benefit from). But it is still quite challenging because it requires you to find the anomalies which can be very subtle.
Also there IS danger because several anomalies will try to kill you.
