Ending discussion / Story Questions / Spoilers Galore
I just beat the game. The first playthrough took me a good 22 hours.
Overall I really liked the game, quite a lot more in fact than I thought I would. I totally came around on the art style, and I actually kinda dig that the world seems so small. The whole product feels very... compact and as if the devs smartly made the most out of limited ressources.

I really like that the game had and actual ENDING, unlike the Souls games, that tend to simply... end at some point. It felt almost like a boss rush mode, fighting three new bosses almost back-to-back without a save point in between. The slides at the end were a nice touch (even though they got two of my decisions wrong, I didn't give the rune to the blacksmith, for example).

The Boss parade with the stats at the palm was AWESOME! What a great idea!

I have a few questions though:

-I don't really get Antanas' motivation - he transformed random monks into Rhogar monsters... to fight Rhogar? Where do the monsters come from, originally?

-Kaslo is some kind of mediator, who wants peace... by building us Harkyn to wage war? Shouldn't he prefer the Rhogar to overrun the humans, therefore causing stability instead of an endless struggle?

-Do we ever learn of Harkyns crimes?

-Vetkas story was a bit all over the place. First she was searching a dagger, then suddenly it was a book, then the book turned out to be a three story high monster that could time-travel?? wut? Well she is back with her family, so thats nice, I suppose :D

-Is it possible to spare the Chief Knight dude, when everyone goes ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the Citadel? I refused to slaughter all the humans, and ran past everyone, but it seems I was forced to kill him. (Even though the end slideshow said I spared him)

-The crazy monster endboss - was that Antanas, transformed? What was the deal with that? I kinda missed a big evil speech from him first.

I feel like I am missing some story pieces to really make sense of it all. But it was nice to have a story at all.

This is my perspetive on your questions

- Kaslo says if the Rhogar overrun the humans, it would throw the entire world into chaos. (more than it already is) Probably because Rhogar by nature are extremely volatile.

- Harkyn's sins are not really known to me, but he comes of as some sort of either god-traitor or murderer.

- The "suddently back with her family" thing was a bit weird for me, i would like to know how that worked exactly.

- Yes, you can spare him. I just walked past him after he got to his knee's.

- Endboss, i pressume it is Antanas transformed, and yea sadly not evil speech. I pressume he was consumed by all the evil he took out of people, combined with all his anger and revenge. Which is what Rhogar are made of according to Adyr.

I have the same feeling, short and intense, but not bad. I hope for more.

Nice reply! Yeah I will definitely pick up the DLC. Apparently it sheds some light on Harkyn's past.

* According to Adyr, the Rhogar can enter our world whenever there is an imbalance in the force, or whatever. Antanas was obsessed with banishing all evil, but he created a vacuum that the Rhogar were drawn to. He didn't create Rhogar, he created mutants in order to fight off the Rhogar (though this was futile, the more evil he banished the more Rhogar sought him out).

* Kaslo was probably afraid things would tip too far towards Adyr. He wanted Harkyn to beat back the Rhogar and presumably do the neutral ending where he dealt with both Antanas and Adyr.

* No, but apparently they were "unspeakable". So.. probably something involving a lot of killing and not just your common thief.

* I didn't really get it either... why the key to her family would be hidden in another dimension that was banished millenia ago. I guess the monster can time travel, or something.

* It's probably possible, if you run past him and quickly go fight Antanas.

* Yes it was Antanas. Apparently he went insane, it shows him drinking the potion and transforming when you are talking to Adyr. He probably wanted to gain some kind of immense power but the potion didn't work properly and made him into a deformed freak.

Hi,
1) Results of Antanas' experiments were beasts, not Rhogar. They indeed were supposed to oppose Rhogar, as they were bigger and stronger.

2) Kaslo is "the true Judge". All he wants is Harkyn to take the world's faith in his hands. He's got the whooole world... in his hands... :)

3) Not in the game, but you can find what some of those sins mean (try the images we've posted with "sinners", on our FB fanpage for example), how to read them etc. The runes make up an actual alphabet (Adaluk, meaning "Dark Deeds").

4) Yetka, not Vetka. It's a sidequest, probably the biggest one, but still kinda optional. That's why it's all around the game. And yeah, it is very mysterious.

5) You can spare him by not dealing the killing blow.

6) There's no evil speech, only things hidden in audiologs.

Cheers!

Yeah I think antanas transformation was what he tried to get rid of, all evil. In the end it consumed him. Ironic I guess. Great game even if the story was a bit off in places. Labrinth dlc coming out soon and NG+ atm is good fun.
