I am level 35 now and recently just beat The Worshiper.
Ive never seen mentions of the timed attacks and all my points are in agility.
Really? Im 21 and I just killed him.
I just stopped to pretend, and went for strength/faith/endurance instead of agility.
Gotten myself some medium/heavy armors and Heirloom + shield.
Arguably, the best thing about Rogue class is the Deception skill tree.
As a rogue you have to be flexible, switch to one-hand and buckler when you need to parry (parry is a very powerful tool against slow attacking strong mobs).
Or switch to daggers and do the timed combos, the "weak, weak, strong, strong" combo of my starting rogue does the same damage as my NG+ hammer warrior.
Or use staff and buckler for a more versatile runaround.
Rogue is a wonderful class but its hard to get into.
If you have an excessively hard time with it, take a break and make a warrior, invest some points in magic, use your gauntlets, its the easy way out of everything, then when you feel more at ease with how the game works you can come back to the rogue and enjoy the finer aspects.
Experiment a bit to find out something that you find easier to play and stick with it, i think that the trick with this game is finding a good entry point for your particular playstyle.
Last but not least, dont forget about the spells....or the gauntlets
Yea, the problem with me is that I didn't know his tactics and what the hell was going on in the fight. Also that I like to over prepare. In theory you can kill him not leveled at all, but again, I over compensated for nothing because after dying 3 times to him I found out what I was doing wrong and finally killed him. I thought it was me (which is was), but I was going in there with the wrong tactics and trying to bash the living hell out of him instead of taking my time.
You what.
