Hold LS to save not working

Am I doing something wrong? I stay next to the crystal and hold LS to save the game without losing the modifier but nothing happens..

What do you mean nothing happens? Not much really does happen when you LS save besides receiving a checkpoint message on the screen. It works fine for me. I have nearly 300k XP stored next time I load up the game with my 2.0 modifier.

That's the thing, no checkpoint message appears on my screen.

You hold left shift and click R right? Sorry if its a stupid question but its not clear from your post and sometimes we miss the simplest things (i know i do :P)

Have you tried other save crystals? Can you save normally at a crystal and replenish potions? Sorry I'm not too sure what's happening.

Hold left-shift and left-mouse-click where you'd normally press R or I.

Yeah, I especially hated the part where it said:

"If you want to save without losing your experience modifier, hold the (Left Shift Key, or Left Stick Button) down while saving. Note that this will not refill your health or potions."

It's so unclear what they mean - I was so confused that I literally never screwed this up.

The salt is strong with this one. I'm sorry that I expect the developers to properly tell me when 2 buttons are supposed to be pressed at the same time instead of some assinine method. For a game that copies so much from Dark Souls it shouldn't be difficult to copy the save system too (as in put in an actual menu at the checkpoints so people don't get confused).

I see what you mean. They should've put the prompt about pressing the left stick above the prompt for what button to use. Like have the prompt on the checkpoint say "Y (Use)" and then say "If you want to save your progress without losing your experience modifier, hold the left stick button while saving. Note that this will not refill your health or potions."

It isn't exactly rocket science. Hold stick down and then hold Y down. What they have written is perfectly fine

I have saved this way about a few dozen times and haven't had it fail on it me yet

The message is too unclear. They could just patch that up.
