Can't read 2nd disc?
My computer can't read it at all, my 2nd computer can though! However when I make a copy of it to transfer over the network and mount it on my PC for installation purposes, only a 650MB copy is made even though it's a DVD. Steam refused to recognize the 650MB disc image as valid :/

Edit: I guess I'll try changing drive letters around in case Steam's installer stupidly can't recognize more than one drive during installation of a product.

Okay so the drive letter trick worked, new issue though: The game consists of 2 DVD's yet only 5GB is installed from the first disc and nothing seems to be installed from the 2nd disc? It immediatly switched to downloading data instead of installing from the 2nd disc...

So I have bought a physical 2 DVD copy of the game to only have a 5th of the 25GB game installed without the need for inernet? Gay. Gonna take a real long time before I can play it, thank god I went with a physical copy! NOT!!!

You will still need to download patches.
As for your post in Denuvo thread,
trying to play games on technical preview version of the system is hmm..not wise.
Try using another DVD drive or return the disk as damaged.
I would start with switching to normal OS.
Using Windows 10 as your main OS? Dude..

So far the only things not working with Windows 10 are products that install drivers, like Alcohol 120% and some anti-virus products like Trend Micro Internet Security (And presumably a bunch of DRM schemes). I haven't had any gameplay specific issues in any game that is related to the O/S that I'm using (At least no issue that doesn't also occur under Windows 8).

I'd say your DVD disk is ♥♥♥♥♥♥.
That's it. No hidden conspiracy.

How much data is on your 2nd DVD? I'm keeping in mind that my DVD Drive is from 2008 so I wouldn't be surprised if there are some DVD disc formats it can't handle, which can explain why the disc reads apparantly fine in my dads computer which has a vastly newer DVD drive.

My dads machine also runs Windows 7 (Disc DRM could also be why it reads fine on his PC, seeing as hes running a well known O/S).

You could use a remote drive tool to read the disc in your dads computer but access it on yours

670 MB (670236672 bytes)
UDF filesystem

raw .iso : 639,2 MiB

Windows 7 RC wasn't able to read UDF filesystem. Windows 10 TP probably have the same problem. UDF support has nothing to do with DRM.

Microsoft calls UDF "Live File System" by the way.

Ah okay, thanks for the information. Still strange isn't it? So easy for them to have used 2 dual layer DVD's and package the entire game instead of only a 5th of it. The physical box says it is 25GB, which obviously excludes the additional patch content.

But it's not. Full installation is much smaller. 16 GB or something like that. 8.6 GB compressed.

Dual layer DVD has 8152MB, so..everything checks out if you add patches.

See even if that was correct (I'll assume the 25GB size stated on the box accounts for DLC installation) the first disc only installed 5GB according to the Steam installer (3GB according to the download interface though).

So the first disc is a single layer DVD (4.7GB) and the 2nd disc is a DVD with enough data for a CD ROM contained on it (Wouldn't a CD have been cheaper to use instead of a DVD?).

You are correct that the installer is a total of 9.1GB, with 3GB already installed via the first disc (so 6~GB being downloaded).

This should help... should, I am only assuming cause I haven't used the new win 10 revisions

Enable test-signing --

Get into CMD as Admin
Run this command in the cmd window: bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON
Restart your computer and you should see that it shows something like "Test Mode" on the right bottom corner of your computer screen.

bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING OFF reverts the test mode

Yeah I've already done that, I'm pretty sure it's the installers themselves stopping me from installing the driver rather than the driver.

I am sure there is away around these things...

Sorta unrelated but I even got Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire working on Win 7-8-10, as of recent... required a replacement to the installsheild engine

Tell me if you work out how to install SPTD ( http://www.duplexsecure.com/ ) under Windows 10. It's needed for Alcohol 120% and Daemon Tools to work. Safe to uninstall afterwards.

SPTD is only needed for those fancy antidrm and antiprotection features isn't it.. I am sure you can install Daemon Tools Advanced without it just for mounting and burning purposes?

I can't atm I went back to Win 7
