Pathetic game length
Just beat the game for the first time, from start to finish my save has under 8 hours.

Lost 4 hours of progress early on because of game-breaking glitches, totaling my play time to about 12 hours.

What a joke.

lol. LotF is not about running as fast as you can and finishing main story. You can easily do it in 1-2 hours. The same is for DS2.

It's all about exploring, finding secrect and achievements. And I think you didn't even start NG+ or NG++.

DS2 was awful on pc... weapons only lasted a couple of hits .once you got a mob you were finished.apparently was to do with the framerate on pc upto the consoles.. .weapons got damaged very very quick.. made me stop playing that game....but loved DS1

Complain about the games length all you want, truth of the matter is every game now adays runs roughly 8 hours at max. Not very many game developers anymore take the time to make big long epics.

Ha, if only it was about that. This game is shallow and lifeles. Not to mention incredibly problematic to the point it isn't...

1) worth $50.00
2) even released in its current state to the public

NG+ adds audio logs...that about sums it up. How fun is that? No freaking...thank you. They still haven't released a damn thing to aid stability. It is out of hand this kind of crap is even allowed in 2014.

It's true. But If somebody wants a long long epic game try to play Divinity:Original Sin without any guides. ;)

Thats unfortunate. Hugs all around.

Speak for yourself, my first play-through (doing all side-quests, collecting all items) took me around 35 hours.

NG+ is going much faster however because I know what to do and where things are.

Im at 34 Hours and have not finished my 1st play through. I dont know how far I am in the game but Im getting ready to take the little cage to the top to meet Antanas. (not asking for a spoiler, just stating where Im at)

I did do the catacombs when I should have progressed through a different path, so I had to go back through them. I do make it a point ot explore everything.

To each his own, I suppose.

How are you taking so long? I'm sitting at 35 hrs. having finished the game twice(warrior/rogue), at the same time discovered everything and am halfway through my cleric playthrough. Those include roughly 2 hrs. lost to crashes, 6 hrs. lost to finding secrets, and 5 hrs. spent backtracking.

I have no idea how you guys have 30~ hours in your first playthrough

I did all the sidequests that i found (which were barely quests of any sort, more like "get me this item" or "kill this monster")

i always explore as its one of my favorite things to do in video games (for example my first playthrough of das2 was something like 30hrs long)

i don't count NG+ as more content because it's not, it's just the same stuff all over again

ha ha ha Dark souls 2 weapons soon broke!! errr try repair powders ....but i agree on release i hated DS2 BUT after playing Lords of the fallen I went back to DS2 begged its forgivness, asked it to marry me and have its children....Lords is the most dreadfull game i have ever paid good money yet never really had a good play due to many crashes and PC damaging bugs....

He is talking about a known bug on the PC version that doubles your Durability loss if you hit an enemy that hasn't finished its death animation yet (so while it's on the ground before its body loses collision). It's a PC version only bug.

Lords of the Fallen is a much better game than Dark Souls 2, which was trash compared to Dark Souls 1.

Your opinion, personally I think it's the other way around.

Dark Souls II is better simply for the fact that From Software already has two other games like this out in the market and has had them out for quite a while. Once CI gets the experience From Software has they'll be able to make their games of similar quality.

From Software has already learned the lessons CI currently is learning so when Dark Souls II came out there weren't as many glarring issues because they had already gone through it.
