I am using a wireless XBox 360 gamepad and it works perfectly.
What kind of XBox gamepad are you using?
Unplug it / plug it back in
Reinstall drivers for it
Test it in another game
The way I described it was misleading. There is no option in the menu to switch between the two.
The game recognizes the input device you are currently using. If you are playing with mouse and keyboard, you just need to pic up the gamepad and press any button and the game changes all icons for the gamepad. This is what I meant with switching "on the fly".
Is your gamepad currently working with other games? Maybe your wireless receiver is broken?!
If your wireless receiver is working plug it into another usb port.
If you are using a wired gamepad try to use a different usb port too.
The game creates a dummy xinput named as xinput/0 (this is your player 1 input) when started so the real controller is reassigned to xtinput/1 (this is your player 2 input). The game only listen to xinput/0 as of a number of other games. So after starting Lords of the Fallen, other games will stop to respond to controller input too.
This is all I was able to find until now. A simple reboot with no controller plugged in will solve the problem for other games but as soon as you start lords of the fallen the problem will resume.
I've enabled the gamepad, booted up a knowing game title that works with the gamepad, tested for functionality and works. Boot up LoTF immediately after and the pad doesn't work. Nothing at all. The main menu shows "Press A" but nothing works. Load up the previous working game and the gamepad works. So...?????????????????
Anyone know a fix for this?
what to do:
Just uninstall geforce experience (beta). (this can cause the game to crash at start. To fix this just reinstall DX provided with the game)
What was causing this issue?
When you start the game geforce experience overwrite your controller priority so that an emulator to nvidia shield controller gets priority in game. It take a lot of time to find this i.i
The issue seens to be atached only to the latest beta version of geforce experience. I didn't tested yet with the latest not beta release so I don't know if the issue exist there.
No idea. This issue were caused by a piece of shi.... that isn't in use nowadays. If you're having this problem than the cause might be other. Try removing anything that creates a virtual xbox controller to see if the game at least starts.
