Spine slasher OP?

I used this weapon on the last boss with both of my 2 characters, because the dps was so much higher than my other weapons (My best AGI weapon was prejudice for my rogue and my warrior´s weapon was fate/stain). Now I beat Guardian on NG+ with my rogue and this sword is still better than anything I have, including claw/shortsword combo attacks. It only takes 8 strenght to wield it so it´s not like you have to make any huge sacrifices to use the thing. Anyone can use it and it does good damage, even on NG+.

Spine Slasher is decent weapon when you find it, however, it will quickly fall behind due to no scaling. Your end-game/NG+ weapon need stat scaling since you wont be finding any better weapons in NG+. This is a flawor weapon that you can use for a while but should move on to better things pretty soon.

Guard's Sword is the sword to go for STR based characters looking for 1H option.

Impatience is the best shortsword/rogue weapon. You need the Captian's key to access its location. AGI 25 requirement, and a hidden combo proc. FYI found on my main playthrough, if you miss it it is still there through all the NG+ modes.

Peacemaker is awesome, that's my highest damage weapon atm doing 513 dmg (my strength at 37 with the sword equipped with flawless luck rune). With rage going, this sword chops down bosses like they're small fry. In ng+ atm btw.

Guards sword, Justice and Reminder (axe) are all awesome 1H weapons and way better than spine slasher.

You need the key from the Captian after you (spoiler), then open the door that is locked near the bridge following the 2nd boss encounter. There is a pathway that leads to the outside garden area (near boss area), proceed through the enemies, and it is in one of the (spoiler). Goodluck.

At the point you find it, you can have 250dmg strenght weapon instead of 100 spine slasher.

Peacemaker Greatsword - Str required is 34 and will dish out a base damage of 491 (+268) IF slotted with a Flawless Luck Rune. Best damn weapon for a str build imo.

Guards Sword - Str required is 31 and will dish out a base damage of 229 (+184) IF slotted with a Flawless Luck Rune.

I beat the normal game using these weapons and absolutely demolished everything in my way in NG+ thus far.

You have quite a few options for better weapons. I'll just list the best ones I've found on my 3 playthroughs.

For Rogue - Skull Scraper is 29 agility dagger that can be found in the Citadel on your way to fight Antanas/Judge. Just farm the assassins/archers for these for a bit and you'll get one.To my knowledge - best dagger in the game. Besides Skull Scraper another dagger that is better than the one you have is Glow. It is found in a chest in the Chamber of Lies area. Someone mentioned Impatience - and that is a great as far as shortswords are concerned. I prefer the dagger moveset for my playstyle.

For Warrior - Last Will or Peacemaker are great 2hand weapons. Peacemaker is the best 2hander I've found and is obtained the same way as the dagger mentioned above except they are random drops from the heavy armor/sword wielding mobs. Just farm the Citadel before Judge fight.

For Cleric - Stare is your best for Faith weapon. After you beat the Lost Brothers and are heading up the stairs back into the Citadel - there is a portal that opens up with a Proving Ground inside. Whoop their ass and you'll get Stare in the chest at the end. Besides Stare, there is Fly - which is a fast hammer and is found in one of the infite Voids later in the game.

And if you didn't know already - put Flawless Luck runes in your weapon for the most dps bang for your bug - although Poison runes on dagger ain't have bad either.

Maybe I am wrong but I am pretty sure Impatience and Itch are the best agility based weapons.
