cheats_enabled = true

Then use the 3 key to disable the effect.
1-9 does all sorts of stuff to enable and disable effects (shadows, ssao etc)

There are lots more commands to put inside the settings.ini.

// volumetric lighting quality (Off, Low, Medium, High, VeryHigh)
quality_volumetric_lighting = High
// antialiasing quality (Off, Low, Medium, High, VeryHigh)
quality_antialiasing = Medium

but doing alot of this might make the game more unstable.

Edit: It is possible the game removes the added settings if settings are changed..
So you might want to backup the edited settings.ini for easy restore.

Keys: 1 - 0 on/off

1 occlusion_culling
2 ssao
3 cromatic aberration (maybe more post processing variables)
4 postprocessing_unsharpmask
5 postprocessing_lightshafts
6 postprocessing_colorcorrection
7 mipmaplodbias
8 shadows
9 anisotropic filtering
0 toggle decals

In the documents folder, not the games folder!

So if I wanted to just edit the settings.ini file, to make chromatic aberration permanently off, is there a way to do that without having to do the enable cheats thing? Such as add a new field, like:

chromatic_aberration = Off

?

Not as far as I can see.. I just found this in the game, so for now it's all I can share.
So I don't know, I added the cheat-enabled command to settings.ini, and I loaded up a saved game, and I press the number 3 key, and I cannot see a difference. So I then pressed every other key you mentioned and I couldn't see anything change? Am I doing something wrong, are you sure this works? Idk what's up.
Are you sure it didnt overwrite the settings.ini when you made a change ingame? And it's cheats_enabled = true Not cheat_enabled. You will see a Build Version number on the lower right of the screen if it's enabled.

And it's the C:\Users\yourname\Documents\Lords of the Fallen\settings.ini folder

Question, how did you aquire the additional engine information. I'm not concerned with the cheats command. I just want to know if there is a full commands list hidden in the game's files. If I could get a hold of a debugging script that would be the tits, maybe modifications could be applied. If you catch my drift.
It's all in the LordsOfTheFallen.exe. There is a devmode but i'm not sure it works. Anyway, lots of settings that could have been in the options menu, no idea why they removed them.

Which settings are you referring too? So far I can't seem to make any postprocess or fullscreen graphics changes that operate outside of the standard menu options (meaning they work as one). I think they are consolidated due to the lack of one not working without the other. The engine was designed with consoles in mind (clearly), I highly doubt that anything we can do is going to change the engine's operation parameters. This isn't Unreal Engine, or CryEngine we are talking about, it is the in-house Fletch engine Deck13 stated they created from the ground up. Which goes wihout saying is designed completly for this game, and this game alone. I think we are all SOL unless they give PC gamers access to the inner workings. There aren;t any .pak files or anything that can be extracted, so this game is a real tough nut to crack open and tinker with.

Try setting the .ini to Read Only. I have to do that to get DSR to function correctly at 3840x2160, so it may be the same type of deal.

You did it wrong yes.

In your documents folder, not the games folder.

You can unpack the game files and it might work..

Oh wow, it looks so much better with it off, holy crap. That is amazing, and sorry that I skimmed over where you posted the location, twice I think lol. I've been skimming too much lately. This is awesome though, there's going to be some happy guys after this, they have been complaining about this Chromatic Aberration since day one lol. Thanks again man.
This is not an acceptable solution as this disables ALL post processing. Including the bloom and volumetric light rays which look great.
It doesn't toggle all post processing for me. When I press the different buttons, it says different things like:

toggle_postprocess_different things here.

You can tell by pressing the different buttons, 1-9, that they each turn off a separate thing, and it says what that is in the bottom right corner. The exact name of which postprocess it turns off is cutoff though..

It doesn't disable ALL postprocessing. I said in first post what the keys do..

Keys: 1 - 0 on/off
