Ughhh I just realized that. Being doing the wrong thing for half an hour. >_>
Question; How could I know how the game is actually scripted in every possible scenario? Could it not be added to your inventory, like the rune of adyr? You don't loot that, do you? How do you expect to get that rune if you don't have to loot it? By your logic you shouldn't.
Also, I added "or achievement". I couldn't find anything special about killing the boss in the way several sites and guides say.
I wouldn't know when and how the scripts start or work or appear visibly to the gamer (DS2 add a ring after cinematics for no bonfire runs etc) since I didn't code the game - I'm assuming you did since you seem to have such intimate knowledge on the subjec.
But I digress, back to topic.
If anyone know more, please speak up.
Yeah, that's what I'm wondering too.
(at least thats what i did on NG++ because if you dont kill him fast.. its a very tough fight)
You don’t get a weapon, the reward for the challenge is a trinket it’s called challenger.
And you dont get weapon but trinket.
