No point choosing Warrior or cleric starting gear
After playing the game for a while now ive discovered if you want to play as warrior, cleric or rogue always start with the rogue starting gear because as you progress you can get all the other gear on the first level only difference i can see is you will have less health portions with warrior or cleric gear and you can also respec your skill points pretty early on just after the second boss, so what im saying is whats the point going warrior or cleric other than making it more of a challenge there dosent seem to be any benefit from doing so just go ranger or outlaw making warrior or cleric pointless classes does anyone know any different ???

Choosing the armor also give you different starting stats like more faith for cleric , strenght for warrior and agility for rogue.

The hidden bonus objective for the first boss is to not take any damage from him. This is most easily done as the warrior because you can just block all his attacks.

Also, I've personally never been a fan of respecing. I like to gain an attachment to my characters and there flaws are what make them feel like they are mine, and not something from a min-maxing guide.

i get that but you can jst respec making the type of character you want and it dosent take long to put a few points in strength or faith and with the two points in luck you get better loot drops and better chance of the rare weapons

And ive just found out you only recive the hidden bonus for taking no hits at all so blocking with your sheld dosent count towards the bonus so thr rogue gear would be better suited because of the better endurance and agility

To get the better version of the greatsword from the first boss you must not take damage, you can block so long as you have a 100%phys shield.

Besides you don't need that many potions, I didn't have any trouble with just 2 at the beggining, you start to get more rather quickly and since you can use checkpoints and restock potions without losing the XP bonus it's not a big deal.

thanks for that my preferance was the cleric set with the brawler tree but i couldnt see the advantage for endgame the third boss in the graveyard was a challenge the extra potions would have been helpful but im gonna stick with my brawler so thanks again :-)
