[HELP] Can't kill The Lost Brothers.

So I'm around 10 hours into the game and have reached this extremely painful boss fight. Whatever I do, I just can't kill them.
I managed to kill the Shocky dude once, but I only had 2 potions left and the Fire dude deals so much damage with his fire breath that I basically die instantly if it hits me.
I don't have any Magic Shards so I can't even spam magic or gauntlet on them and also I'm dealing around 100 damage per hit (normal attack) with the Swing Axe, which I used during most of the game.
If anyone has any tips I'd really appreciate it.

EDIT: Just managed to defeat them, thanks for the tips, guys! (Now I've made it to the last boss, which is even harder. FML.)

How do you get so far in the game but with only 100 damage? You should have 300+ by now. You messed up your attribute points build. Go reset them.

With the shard of heroes. On another point, you could just watch a youtube video or google the bosses weakness and take advantage of it. Every boss fight in this game has a strategy that involves not getting hit by it at all.

kind of wrong on that, only the first bosses requiers you to not get hit, every other bosses has different requierments, For example the Commander just requires you not use a shield at all.

Not at all. Take a 20 minute break from the game and have a tea or something, maybe a breath of fresh air outside and come back to the bosses with a different strategy. At some point the bosses run away and you get to fight them one by one which is even easier.

Keep a distance and when you're fighting just one put up a Prayer (use pillars if neccessary). Let him wack on it while you get in a few hits. Rinse repeat.

For the shard of heros you can pick it up literliy in the first room you come, once you have put it in one of the statues in the area where you faought the Commander ant then you can respec.

i would also try to kill the fire guy first, because imo the fire is the stronger one.
you should also make use of your fire and shock resistance items
