Boarded gate in Champion arena.

This is the gate in the Champions arena that some of us cant figure out. I'm on NG+ here in the screenshot, and ive been all over this place, found Heirloom, the timed gate, and hidden weapons, and just about everything, but i cant figure out how to get this boarded gate open. I could swear i can see something behind it. . . I tried haveing champion bash his head into a whole bunch, and again while raged, and again in his third stage rage fit. Nothing has worked yet.

Bump because people dont use searches and keep posting the same problems over and over.

After the fight with the poison spewing monster in front of the citadel (same place where you fight the commander), go back to the champion area and the boarded up gate will be open.

During the cutscene before the Champion fight, you should have noticed that he was poking something through the gate and it was bleeding green. After the fight with the monster, if you go back to Kaslo and Antanas, Harkyn will mention that a monster came up from the catacombs.

In short, 1+1=2.

So that was BEAST he was poking. 1+1 would be if we could see beast in there. Maybe its just an oversite. . . . a very big one
