Price Drop out of Concern for Quality?

Most releases are $59.99 or $69.99-$79.99 for the deluxe. However, this dropped all the way to $40 something dollars, raising great concern about what type of game we would get.

I personally never buy anything less than the usual starting price, because there are plenty of $29.99 RPG games out there and I was hoping for a serious one...

seriously though, price is never an indication of quality. some of the best games I've ever played have been released at $50 (AUS mind you). On the otherside I have played and owned alot of games that have been released at $80 or more and are not worth it at release.

The morale is never base an opinion of something by how much the company decides to charge you for it. Doing so makes you look ignorant and petty.

Wow 18 whole months? Rounded up? 5 years here. No correlation whatsover between price and product especially on Steam. That being said this genre is getting pretty crowded lately. Waiting for next ES or FO game myself. Those are so far superior to the rest of this stuff....

So did we achieve this point. Are we naturally expecting things to be better just because they cost more money? Ever thought about the fact that Ubi and all Else might just set the price high because they know that everyone wants theire new assasins creed?

$50, which is the current US price, is still a pretty common launch price for PC games that aren't AAA (big budget) or aren't from big name developers/publishers. I don't know what Lords of the Fallen's budget was like, but CI Games and Deck 13 are both pretty small time compared to the Ubisofts and the Activisions of the world, so $50 sounds right for their new game.

There's no cause for quality concerns over the price.

Of course you can always find them much cheaper elsewhere, but anyway - I don't see this game's price point as indicating anything, seems pretty normal.

50 dollars is actually a sign of a good game. If the game costs more than 50 dollars its usually a sign of mismanagement and incompetency of a game developer who can't budget developement process for game to costs 50 dollars, and if the developers can't manage a budget what are the odds that he can do a good game? Not very high.

I think this Price is great and ok.
Because they want to get to a wide range of budgets. Like you look into the list and everything is 60-80$ and then there is this for 50$ and it also has good score and plays alot like Dark Souls.
It maybe not be Dark Souls but many Players will get it for that Price to keep them on the line for Bloodborne(wich I will not get bc they again said ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PS4 Exclusive, even if it comes later on PC not even for 20$ will I get it then).

Of course you can always find them much cheaper elsewhere, but anyway - I don't see this game's price point as indicating anything, seems pretty normal.

Some of my friends got Sleeping Dogs and they were disapointed.
One even got the game for free for geting a graficcard and he touched it just to finisch it and that was it for it.
The Evil within was hyped by many as "THE LAST CHANCE FOR HORRORSURVIVAL" and what did they became? Resident Evil 4 with less Ammo. I stay there with Dead Rising 3 that game gave me what I wanted from it, even all DLC's for free.

But since you can't i will just say that they don't. Steam levels are gained by the amount of money you spend on useless cards to craft badges or beta testing steam features along with owning games aka they mean nothing.

Even just buying something you get some exp and lvl up. Being lvl0 means he just made that account because his pissed somebody off and got banned from the forum. Or fears all the hatemails on his real account. I didnt clicked on his profile but I bet its also Privat.

There's lvl 0 because of private profile setting and there's lvl 0 because troll account with public setting.
