Demo?

I'm on the fence with this & would like to make up my own mind whether it's worth my time or not.. are we getting a demo?

I dont think any AAA game release demo these days. PCGAMER and Gametrailers did stream last night I think you can rewatch it.

Yeah sadly the age of demos is over. Today its all about watching other people play the game who got theire copy earlier because they are famous for playing video games.

While it is not what you may be looking for/you might have already watched a few, your best seems to be to see what others have played of it - youtube has a few decent streams of people playing through a preview demo. Lobos Jr. had one I really enjoyed, and EpicNameBro gives his thoughts on the game in a shorter discussion video. Both are very well respected in the DarkSouls community (I know enb's name can scare people off) so their commentary will becoming from that sortof direction/mindset, if that is of any interest to you.

They may suprise us and release a demo, but, as others here have stated, I would not expect it

Demo ahhhhhh yes demos I remember demos back in my days. It was back in 1972 I had just got back from watching Last Tango In Paris , forever changing the way I looked at a stick of butter. The demo was for pong you could hit the dot with the line three times then it would just start over. I played it over and over till I could no longer stand myself and, went out to the kmarts and got my very own copy. It was a day that forever burns in my mind.

No demo, no buy, not for that price! I can watch a review a 100 times or see a complete walk-through and I still have no perception of how it feels to play, whether the control is fluid and responsive or sluggish.

I guess the "demo" version will be available in a few hours. I'll wait for it.
I just refuse to buy a game without doing at least a 15 minutes "test drive".
