I was wondering about luck being involved in combat too.
I am now at 10 Luck and it feels like I'm evading every 2nd or 3rd strike from enemies. Now I'm wondering if maybe the Luck Runes on the armor don't just give more equip load but also evasion chance.
Anyway, still wanting more input.
I then used the Hero Shard to reallocate my points and gave my Rogue 0 Luck. I was still pretty much untouchable while standing around or moving back and forth.
Oddly enough I then tried my Warrior (NG+, 3 Luck) because I remember eating every hit ever with him. Turned out my Warrior DID eat every single hit. The exact same ones my other two chars were not getting hit by he was getting hit by consistently. (Un)equipping shield (since a shield makes you susceptible to being hit mid-dodgeroll on the back) and switching from heavy to medium armor didn't change anything.
Swapping my Rogue's armor to all heavy and being overburdened didn't change anything in terms of not getting hit either.
I'm starting to think that either my 2 chars are bugged or that Rogues/Clerics have some kind of inherent chance to evade or something? It's pretty inconsistent. I made some recordings with Fraps and I will upload them tomorrow if I can.
What I posted before remained true until the end of NG++ for me. I was able to automatically evade the majority of the strikes from certain enemies and even bosses, and I have no idea what caused it.
So I think it's either Luck with Clerics and Rogues getting some innate bonus, or something related to the kill streak (though I had it on 2 for all of them most of the time) or they were simply buggy.
