How did LotF ever get compared to darksouls????
Ok, the first third of the game was challenging on several occasions. But as hard as DS2???Pls!!! The bosses are easily outread after a few trys, after a certain point the Magic Gauntlet was prtty op as well as my spells, I started with the brawler magic and know I can easily take out mobs instant with one type ramming. The number of saving points make it really easy to controll players rage;-) Why is there no questlog? why is there no map? The only thing that the lack of these features provide is hours of running around, totally being lost and wondering how many times you've past the same spot. The last Boss is a total joke (his light ray is really easily avoided if you know where to stand) . I sure had some fun with the game but in total it appears to me as not really thought through. One side character disappears without further explaination, wtf!?! This game may be a lot but surely not a DS2 clone (except maybe that they've adaptet certain features).

In terms of at's broad gameplay mechanics, it plays exactly like Dark Souls. Yes, there are key differences, but it's combat style, focus on skill over luck or button-mashing, character control, and the lack of a questlog or map to name but a few, put it squarely in the same area as Dark Souls. In terms of difficulty, yes, it's a bit easier than Dark Souls, but difficulty isn't the only thing that makes Dark Souls what it is.

The game may not be an outright clone of Dark Souls, but I don't see how anyone could fail to understand why such comparisons were made in the first place.

Well I see your point but i still think the term "Clone" doesn't apply maybe "little brother". But you're right the mechanincs and combat styla are pretty similar.;-)

Dark Souls' illegitimate child. Not quite sure who the other parent is, though.

Im actually quite happy with this game. Im a massive souls fan, as well as bloodborne. I started playing this a few days ago.

Lets be honest, its not on the same level as dark souls... but thats okay. Its still a great game. Im enjoying developing the different playstyles this game allows. I try not to use any of the OP things though that make this game much easier, like the gauntlet.

The graphics are just incredible. (aside from the character models) but the volumetric lighting, the particle effects, the amount of detail that went into the armor, shields and weapons as well as environments is incredible!

Im playing this game in max settings in 4k at 60fps and it runs great. I havent had any crashes, and ive only seen a few slight dips into the low 50s fps. Other than that Im having a great time with this game. I will definitely be beating it before I continue on with MGS & mad max on sept 1st.

I never played DS or Ds2, but I find this game quite challenging, the first hour, as a rogue for my discover of the game, almost made me rage quit and uninstall. The heavy moves of the character, The crazy default camera, and the low damage of the rogue when you just start the game and don't know much about it.
After few bosses, I restarted as Warrior, and...Just another game, another challenge : a lot easier and satisfying to start with.
I finished Ng++ now with it and restarted my rogue. Just finished ng++ with skullcrapper and Cold blood armor for the entire game.
It was an awesome adventure, The last 4 big bosses could OneHit me and even when knowing the tactics, It was really fun to die so many times to finally get the job done.

The downsides of this game for me :
-Camera
-Not a lot of Landscape to discover, the entire adventure will make you run 200km in a 3 km circle(and too much inside building).
-Ng++ is harder only for the last part of the game and offer nothing new after ng+.
-few crashes. I had around 8, but i finished the game 6 times.
-story and acting voice not so good.
-no arena mode.

Good sides :
-challenge acording to the class you pick
-graphics
-combos system
-gameplay
-atmosphere
-big massive bosses and boss battles
-Epic boss design(Commander is my favorite)

Another thing i've found to be ratehr sad are the splinters. Except of the xp retriever and the atribute points i hardly used them because it wasn't really necessary and for my taste just takes too long. I'm playing NG+ right now and boy am i glad that i started with the brawler magic. Now I'm skilling disguise and it apears to be way weaker than the brawler spec.

first of all, these kinds of games existed for a quite long time, if you need to compare LotF to a game, then chose Demon Souls... because thats what fits it more

The artstyle are awesome, way beyond dark soul.
Dark soul is just random d4rK,zombie,dark corrupted ninja knight.

Also, please, dark soul is easy as ♥♥♥♥,retarded AI,boss who love falling in the void, roll are completely op.

The other parent is Warhammer. Seriously, this game is like a Warhammer Fantasy game with the names changed to protect their wallets.

I refer to this game as light souls. I find the combat skill needed is around the same as in dark should but the magic and gauntlet give you an advantage. With that being said, I also believe those two things make this game more enjoyable than dark souls because of the more diverse feeling combat
Dark souls 2 was easier than lords of the fallen. Now 1st Dark Souls was way harder though.

Wow I don't think that at all. I felt pretty soon op in LotF whereas in DS2 I still feel like a porcelain ballerina;-)

DS2 is weird with difficulty. The bosses are easier, but some of the areas are ridiculous hard thanks to exploiting unbalanced mechanics (SHrine of Amana anyone?).

Well I found it kinda easier. Maybe because I played Dark Souls 1 before? So I guess DS2 was easier for me than Lords of the Fallen. I found out that in Lords of the Fallen the bosses took a longer time to beat than in DS2 as well. Sure they had the same attack moves, but some bosses could take forever to beat. I found DS2 easier because the upgreates you could do where way better... maybe it's just me? d:

True that. DS2 had some few really hard areas. But get past some of them and overall I found it easier than LotF. As you said, the bosses where easier than in DS1 as well.
