The game may not be an outright clone of Dark Souls, but I don't see how anyone could fail to understand why such comparisons were made in the first place.
greetz essman
Dark Souls' illegitimate child. Not quite sure who the other parent is, though.
Lets be honest, its not on the same level as dark souls... but thats okay. Its still a great game. Im enjoying developing the different playstyles this game allows. I try not to use any of the OP things though that make this game much easier, like the gauntlet.
The graphics are just incredible. (aside from the character models) but the volumetric lighting, the particle effects, the amount of detail that went into the armor, shields and weapons as well as environments is incredible!
Im playing this game in max settings in 4k at 60fps and it runs great. I havent had any crashes, and ive only seen a few slight dips into the low 50s fps. Other than that Im having a great time with this game. I will definitely be beating it before I continue on with MGS & mad max on sept 1st.
After few bosses, I restarted as Warrior, and...Just another game, another challenge : a lot easier and satisfying to start with.
I finished Ng++ now with it and restarted my rogue. Just finished ng++ with skullcrapper and Cold blood armor for the entire game.
It was an awesome adventure, The last 4 big bosses could OneHit me and even when knowing the tactics, It was really fun to die so many times to finally get the job done.
The downsides of this game for me :
-Camera
-Not a lot of Landscape to discover, the entire adventure will make you run 200km in a 3 km circle(and too much inside building).
-Ng++ is harder only for the last part of the game and offer nothing new after ng+.
-few crashes. I had around 8, but i finished the game 6 times.
-story and acting voice not so good.
-no arena mode.
Good sides :
-challenge acording to the class you pick
-graphics
-combos system
-gameplay
-atmosphere
-big massive bosses and boss battles
-Epic boss design(Commander is my favorite)
Dark soul is just random d4rK,zombie,dark corrupted ninja knight.
Also, please, dark soul is easy as ♥♥♥♥,retarded AI,boss who love falling in the void, roll are completely op.
The other parent is Warhammer. Seriously, this game is like a Warhammer Fantasy game with the names changed to protect their wallets.
Well I found it kinda easier. Maybe because I played Dark Souls 1 before? So I guess DS2 was easier for me than Lords of the Fallen. I found out that in Lords of the Fallen the bosses took a longer time to beat than in DS2 as well. Sure they had the same attack moves, but some bosses could take forever to beat. I found DS2 easier because the upgreates you could do where way better... maybe it's just me? d:
True that. DS2 had some few really hard areas. But get past some of them and overall I found it easier than LotF. As you said, the bosses where easier than in DS1 as well.
