Warrior OP, Rogue UP? (I found the opposite)
No spoilers please.

I have just bought the game, and completed the first boss.

Being an avid fan of the 'Souls' series, I found that the Rogue was more conducive to my survival/damage output than the slow, albeit tanky, warrior.
Dodging and striking with dual-wield daggers (combo) was FAR easier than stomping about in heavy armour with my shield raised so I can get a mediocre-damage strike in.

Now I am aware that this is early game still. And that class choices will matter little eventually (other than base-stats).

But what have other people found as the more "rewarding" playstyles for this game?
Such as 'Magic' choices. Have people found the Warrior magic to be better than the Rogue?
(I'm not that far ahead yet).

--edit--/update--

I did beat the game as a 'Pure Rogue' class.
The hardest part of the game was the last boss....and even that wasn't hard.

Using the lightest armour and dodging all game, I didn't ever..not even once, find a need to block.

Lv.3 Stab? Smashed anything.
If it was in a location where it was a little 'glitchy' and missing?
Lv.2 Shift got the job done.

My Stats were something like:

30 Agility,
15 Vitality
20 Endurance
18 Faith
3 Luck
8 Str

And I didn't need to use ANY weapon other than Needles? (fist/slash weapon) for 70% of the game..until the last boss where I switched to a pair of flaming swords.

This game, at least as a Rogue, was a little 'Too Easy'.

Rogue Magic is waaaay better for damage in my opinion. Although in terms of bosses and such, the rogue can win way easier given patience but with low damage reduction from the light armour (if that's what you use) you die so easily.

General play style I like the berserker warrior. Just use a high damage two handed weapon with full heavy armour and you almost one hit everything. Against bosses that don't stand still though it makes it a bit tougher but the single attack damage output is close to double the rogue's from what I've experienced so far. Gotten past the first 4 bosses so far.

Hmm, I just wasn't a fan of the "slothiness" of Heavy Armour. Being conditioned by the Souls games, I do prefer feeling lighter and having that nice roll.

I have heard that the last skill in the Rogue magic tree to be bugged? As in, the enemies still see you if you go invisible infront of them.

Mobility is key.
I found it quite the opposite.

Then again, once you know what to do it's always easy.

well, you dont need to play a "rogue" with "agility+green magic build", i do a lot better with strength + green, because of high damage nukes, which are one shotting anything OR having your damage multiplied thanks to "mimic", which is absurd...

the red magic tree is better for high energy consumption users, like players using agility or "special" weapons.

Blue one is the one i dislike the most, its not doing anything AND it punishes diversity (its straight forward the most boring one)

Personally, I like the Solace magic most of all. And the light weapons of the Rogue style becomes nearly useless after the 2nd boss.

untrue, agility weapons shine at endgame more then most others, they can actually kill bosses faster and clear mobs better then any other build, because the dps is insane (instead of cooldowns, like on a maul, you can attack at these times, which ends up being higher overall then hit the bosses once only, a) hit once for 100 dmg, b) hit 7 times for 20 each = 140 dmg)

TFW when you can 2 shot last boss with daggers using rogue magic.

The shift skill is somewhat bugged but not as bad as people think. When you use the shift power you go invisible and then your next hit is really strong. People try to use this wrong. Once they are already in combat and feel threatened they go invisible to save some time, heal, and then hit. If the enemy see's you go invisible they will still track you (the broken part of it). The best way to use it is if you see a strong enemy around a corner, use it before you engage and it gives you an amazing approach. The enemy won't track you and you can feel free to either hit them with one hard hit or forgo the damage bonus and get a backstab to try for a kill.

Exactly.
If my Lv.3 Stab was "bugging", or getting caught on terrain instead of hitting my target...

..solution?

Shift>Walk over>Attack.

Simple. Wasn't bugged at all.

In fact, Lv.2 Shift was all I needed in this regard. Lv.3 would have literally been over-kill.
