Game won't start, crashes on launch

Decided to come back to this game after many years. When starting the game, a black fullscreen launches with the rotating "please wait" Windows mouse cursor in front of it. Then, before any splash screen is rendered or sound can be heard, the game simply crashes to desktop.

I've verified the game files, even with deleting the .exe beforehand. I've changed the display resolution in the settings.ini. I also tried compatibility modes for Windows 8 and 7. Admin mode. Nothing worked. Is this another game, that's simply died out due to whatever shenanigans Microsoft or Nvidia were doing in the meantime?

For anyone facing the same problem: I somehow solved it.

I edited the settings.ini to force the game to start in windowed mode (Fullscreen=false). I'm not 100% sure this was the saving grace, but it's the only thing that makes sense.

The game started windowed as expected and gave me access to the ingame settings. From there, turning on fullscreen and setting the resolution worked flawlessly. Restarting the game worked as intended.

Same i've yet to receive a fix. Btw where did you find the settings.ini ? its not in //common/LOTF2 folder

Are you having trouble with Lords of the Fallen (2014) aka the OG LotF or Lords of the Fallen (2023) aka LotF2? Because you're in the OG community hub and looking into the LOTF2 folder ...

LOTF2 cant seem to find the settings.ini file
