One Hand/Two Hand hotkey

Is there a way to stop the 1H/2H hotkey from swapping between shield and gauntlet?

If I'm 1H'ing a weapon with a shield then change to 2H stance, using the 1H/2H hotkey doesn't then go back to 1H and Shield. It swaps the Shield for the Gauntlet and I have to use it again to swap back to the shield and 1H.

What's the point in having a separate binding for 'Swap off-hand' when the stance key does exactly the same thing.
