although this game sounds interesting too. i wonder will it be released on gog.com too?
this is what some people dont understand , all games take things that worked in other games and put their own spin on it , its the same thing with everything else in life , its really sad when people go round saying games are just clones
what would you expect any different when medevil rpg games come out after Dark souls success?
Demons souls didn't contain certain elements Dark Souls did. Anyway, Dark Souls is the more popular and polished of the two, so...
From what I've seen, Dark Souls has one of the most immature communities in gaming history. They're criticizing this game for the same reason so many of them blew up when the director of DS 2 mistakenly hinted at adding an Easy Mode - They will attack anything Souls-related that might detract from the hardcore, non-casul image they need to project.
because people don't like change. they'd rather see a game like this be titled darksouls and made by the darksouls people instead of putting new trust into a developer they're not used to...
probably...
i mean... name three games in over the last 5 years that has been made souly for the skilled gamer in mind, and not to get mainstream attention because of how player friendly it is..
there aren't many.. even if the community takes it to immature extremes it's because they want to defend something so rare.
I can understand that, but in both cases (this and the Easy Mode for DS 2, which was nothing more than a misunderstanding due to a translation error), it's really just a matter of petty elitism.
This isn't a Souls game, so if it isn't up to their standards, then oh well, no harm done.
In the case of the DS 2 Easy Mode, it was an optional mode which wouldn't have detracted from their experience in any way. They were really just angry at the fact that gamers they deemed unworthy would be able to enjoy the game as they did and that DS would gain mainstream popularity as a result.
