Plot question - What are the Rhogar exactly?
I read something on TV tropes saying Adyr was horrified with the human experimentation but also with humans "not realising what the Rhogar truly are".

So what are they which would result in this?

I stopped playing the game years ago part way through and I can't remember all the lore I found.

From what I remember, Adyr said that Rhogar were "mirrors" of humanity, the reflection of negative traits of humans which they didn't want to admit to having. And that's why they fought Rhogar. Some mystical psychosocial stuff.

Huh.

OK, follow up question. I know there's an ending where you help the Rhogar take over.

Why the hell would you want to do that?

You could say that good and evil exists because of choice.

Adyr is considered God in this game. A long time ago in the lore, Adyr came down and fought with the humans and lost. Siding with the Rhogar simply means siding with God and riding the world of the people who would challenge him.
