Report a translation problem
You then have several answer choices, one is to ask them if there is a way to save them both, but they will say thats no option, and another one is to leave them alone. I decided to leave them and go get more information, but the next time i entered they both been dead. Its possible i maybe entered trough a different door and made some noise because i didnt know its a whole connected catacomb system. Anyways, i was just currious what i have missed^^
She'll tell you about it if you start a second conversion with after you first met her (at the gate before the second boss).
ON TOPIC: You've got only one chance to either save prisoner #1 or prisoner #2.
Can't help you with the item drops, though.
I'm on my 3rd playthrough now and already used both options in previous playthroughs and don't remember what i got from which (on NG++ all i get from from completed qeusts and bosses is mostly runes).
