Did anyone figure out the order of the contraption ?
I tried every order

help. where is pirate hideout? cannot find it after the bridge collapse.

the contraption is not in that order. I tried and it didnt work. You mean the cave with rocks on each tombstone right?

went through every combo in a 4 digit non repeating list, must be a glitch......

you have to fight a pirate guy and he drops a key item with the code on first.

There is a pirate you need to defeat to get the code which is in your key items.
Use that in the four tomb stone room with corals and you are good to go.
You need to defeat the pirate first.

Looks like it is different per game. My code was 1432.

To get the code you need to keep discovering the cave until you find a lone pirate, then interact with his body to get the page with the code.

Where is the room with 4 tomb stones? In the cave? Do I warp out of cave?

It's inside the cave, there's a point where you can find a boat that takes you back to the start of the cave. The boat stop opposite of the starting area is close to the room with the 4 tomb stones.
