Progress not being saved

My progress is not being saved.

I have tried launching the game in several methods - from Steam Library, Desktop Icon, etc, but every time I go into the game I am back on level one with the initial number of gears - no icon and no email address.

I have also uninstalled/deleted local game content/and reinstalled with no luck.

I am running Windows 10 Home x64 / 16G mem / with plenty of drive space.

I am able to save/resume progress from other games.

Any helpl would be appreciated. Tried going through developer support and apparently all they offer are KB for very basic issues. If you have a better URL for that, that might work too.
