Blow up a fellow worker achivement not working/triggering

So, for the achivement on the base game i tryed with my friend to light the bomb myself and throw it at him (Achivement not triggering), I tried to blow up both of us (Still not triggering) and i we also tried to just light a bunch of tnt's without any effects...

So the main question is why is this achivcemnt that hard to get? and why doesn't it work as it description is saying?

Apprichiate any help towards this despite how big of a jerk i am. Thanks.

We just tested the achievement in a variety of ways, (64bit/32bit, Speedrun/Cleanup, BlowingUpBoth/Single) and it seemed to be working fine, so I'm not sure what's wrong.
Sounds like you're using the correct explosive; the red three-stick thing with wires from Unearthly Excavation (and others). Those are the only ones that count.

Usual approach is to just hold the thing, activate it and then drop it near another player. All that's really needed. One can also activate it by damaging the explosive or by hitting it with a shovel.

If you've been doing that, then it should be working.
If it isn't, then something really odd is going on.
Only possible theories for that is that maybe the game is having trouble contacting the steam servers at that moment maybe due to net saturation or some such. Or something we've yet to discover.

Have you tried it in a controlled setting, where all your friend and you do is launch the game, load up Unearthly Excavation, walk down to the bomb, activate it and then drop it on each other?
The same device in other levels like Penumbra should also work. That level is a bit less taxing in MP.

Other than that, if all else fails, I can write custom script to award an achievement.
Had to do this recently for someone who no matter what they did seemed to have a stuck "One Mop to Rule Them All" achievement.

Yes, that's exactly what we have done, Loaded the map my friend got in just fine and we ran straight for the bomb. We did trigger Pass the torch but after doing that the achivement from exploding each other sevreal times on eartly excavation did not get triggered. If you could write a script to fix this i would be very greatful and it would be much appricihated, thanks.

I've opened up a new thing for another issue. And like I said on the hub where i got banned, and in the newest comment I will not start anything here and I dont get why you are saying that when all I have done is addressing issues within the game. Both with the achievements and other game issues. How and what you chose to deal with it is entirely up to you. I never expected to get anything in return. I would hope to get some respect and acknowledgement and graitude for addressing it tho instead of rude and bad behaviour from multiple parties.

I wish that we can discuss this more openly in private as adults without toxic behaviour and mean comments if that suits you better. Either if or not is fine with me.
