Game does not start

Hi, I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 and windows 10, if that's what you mean driver version then 551.23

try using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to completely uninstall graphics drivers and then install the latest ones available for your card
usually game failing to start is due to driver problems

I have already done this with the display driver uninstaller and it does not work.

The game also does not launch for me, but in my case it's likely due to my PC using Windows 7. I noticed that the game does provide an error message if launched by double-clicking the exe file directly, rather than running through Steam. Try that, and post the error here if you get one. Here's the error I get, just for the record:

intravenous2_mercenarism.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point CreateFile2 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.

Try installing Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x86 and x64, in case your system is running on Windows 10 64 bits).

(Where it says X86 and X64, click on the links on the right, download and install)

The game manifest doesn't seem to have any dependencies install step -- in case this solve the problem, I'm sure Spy could fix this problem for other players :P

Let's try to delete the game's configuration files; pull up File Explorer and go to the game's user profile folder:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\intravenous2_mercenarism

or, more easily, if you paste the following in the address bar, and hit Enter:

%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\intravenous2_mercenarism

Then, remove the files inside that folder. They should be:

crashlogs, savegames, mod_settings.cfg, sound.cfg, user_settings.cfg, language, gamedata.iv

Then try to launch the game.

Has anyone found a solution to the following error? I'm getting it each time I try to launch Intravenous 2 on my Windows 7 laptop:
