Severe FPS drops at site of Sandman's hand
Every sandman location causes the FPS to drop but going to Downtown Brooklyn where Sandman's hand remains causes the most severe FPS drop from a relatively stable locked 60fps down to 8fps around this area.

i have the same problem my friend
I also noticed that, glad it's not just me. I assume it must be because some absurd amount of particles in the hand are being rendered at once or something.

Same problem here. There are fps drops at locations where they don't have reason to be
tweaking the particle quality to low seems to improve things a little. So far I'm taking my time sticking to exploring, side missions and crime stopping as the main story with the walking parts and cut scenes are seeing slowdowns too. Hopefully the patch(es) come before I finish all the side quests before I progress.
I have the same problem when I get to areas where there is sand my game dies, outside of those areas the game runs at 120, 144 fps, but when I get to those areas with sand my game slows down to 30, 40 fps, if you know of a way to fix it I would appreciate it. But let's hope that in an update they fix this because it kills me, it's too annoying. I've tried to lower the particles to the lowest quality and nothing is completely the same.

The trees and sand just kill performance, no matter the options. I think even crowd density and traffic options don't affect my fps as those
I think I have solved it, I am not sure yet but with the hot fix that NVIDIA released I think it may be mostly fixed, I leave you the link and I will continue testing and I will tell you how it goes.

I also have found partial solution: turn off filters and photo mode function in NVIDIA App. It's messing with games performance right now so turning it off should help with other games as well
UPD. This is the old driver from last year, I don't recommend downloading it

anyway after continuing to try and try in the areas full of sand the problem still exists no matter what graphical settings I have, when I move too far away and return to the sand area the game suddenly dies from 120fps 144 fps to 30 suddenly it's horrible honestly, about the driver you can see the link that happened to you which is dated February 2nd and fixes certain problems with driver 572.16, honestly I don't know what can be done to fix the problem with the sand if over the days you know something I would appreciate it, if not I will have to wait for a new patch and they want to solve said problem.

Unfortunately I think we will have to wait for the game to be updated with fixes because there is no way to fix these issues with drivers or other programs. I hope it doesn't take too long.
This is crap honestly with today's new patch the problem with the damn arena still exists, I honestly will pass when they fix it if they want to fix it well I will try each patch that comes out, when it is fixed I will pass it

Unfortunately, I think you'll have to wait about 6 months for the game to be fixed... That's about how long it takes with other games or in the worst case a whole year.
I spent a session with all the graphical settings set to the minimum just to get all the sandman stuff out of the way. I ran into the trail missing bug each time in the tracking missions after that require a 'reload from last checkpoint' to fix and an annoying boss fight that was missing some finishing cues.

It's really sad, I can play all over the city swinging at 120,144 fps more or less without too many performance problems, but as I said, I go to the arena and my game literally dies, in case anyone has similar hardware to mine, it's the following: an rtx 3070, i7-13700 kf 32 gb ddr5 ram and the game is installed on an m. 2 nvme ssd, as I said if you know something I would appreciate the help, but it looks like it will take a while to fix it.
The sand disappears from the map once all the sandman stuff is done. The next menacing slowdowns are critical timing boss battles. I've lost a few because of frame drops and missing finisher prompts. But I finally clocked the game after 31 hours. I couldn't be bothered with the last remaining new game+ achivement so I just used something from nexusmods to get it.

Nvidia just released an updated driver today. I got the notification just after completion, hopefully it will improve things for you guys
